I find this hilarious because, on this very forum or possibly it's predecesor, pre-ME2 I beleive, I specifically remember someone stating that they'd be really ticked off if they named the main character Shepard as a pun at the end of the trilogy.  It was that post I immediatly thought of when the kids says, "The Shepard."

I had the same thought. That's just one more thing that irritated me at the end. They actually went there. <_<
