I think this symbolises the ending as well as anything I've seen. Meant to be a coherent artistic statement but, in reality, it's a load of gibberish.

This represents the potential that this game had so well. To bad they wasted it.

I've decided to simply ignore what happens after Marauder Shields and just use this picture to represent the ending my Shep got (in my own mind that is). Kudos to the artiste, it is far more artisticly relevent then the ending the devs put in.

And yes, 90% of the game was brilliant, that dosn't excuse the ending or make it (the ending) anything other than an Epic Fail.

This. All of it (well except the 95% brillant, I would reduce it to 65%).

Ugh, I have never before wanted harm to come to a child. Until ME3.

How sad it BioWare's ending had driven me to the point where I look upon this picture, nod, laugh and declare it the best ending.

The little child back on Earth doesn't deserve this. He didn't do anything wrong.

In the end whatever was that thing it took the child appearance to reach out to Shepard be more persuasive and convincing easier manipulation if your talking the person you don't want to fail.
Assaulting children with these choices is a little extreme

Regardless of what the child really is, he uses the same model (with a glowy transparent retexture) and voice as the spacebrat.
He's become a symbol of everything wrong with the game (again, the spacebrat) by visual association.

Even if my Shepard died (and I expected her to), something like this would have been amazing.  Hope.

Still my favorite, I love when he goes from anger to happy, he just snapped so funny, then he's got creepy smile the whole time.
