Yup..... WHY DID I SPEND SO MUCH TIME ON SIDE QUESTS!?

Wouldn't be the first time BioWare's pulled something like this. Just look at Taris in KoTOR. That pissed me off a lot.

I think it was actually a good move by BioWare having everyone on the Citadel die though. When Earth, Palavan, Thessia etc are being destroyed by the Reapers it's hard to care too much about them because you don't really know those places very well or anyone who lives there. With the Citadel though you've spent a lot of time there for all three games and you actually get to meet and talk to the characters who live and work there. That means when they are all killed it's a much greater emotional impact then seeing some planet you've never been to or hardly spent time there being destroyed.

What are you talking about?! There's almost no emotional impact in the loss of the Citadel! You recover the VI from Cronos Station and then Hacket is like "Good job Shep! Oh, we also lost the Citatel. It's in Reaper control now." by which Shep is like "Oh...Ok then. What's the next step?" I know they are in middle of war and don't have time to grieve the dead, but the Citatel is a lot more than just a Space city - It's the Heart of the Galactic Society and the only thing that gave organics a small chance agaist the Reapers! But i guess that's just Bioware's QUALITY writing for you OP.

Yeah, the fact that Shepard doesn't ask about people on the Citadel when he/she hears about it being moved by Reapers is just moronic.

Therefore, I reject BioWare's reality and substitute my own. Not sure whether it's gonna be "most escaped the Citadel" or just a complete retcon of most we learn about the Crucible. Fixing this game's gonna be tough, even in my mind.
