How about the fact that, when Shepard dances at the club we can watch but not control his dancing? What are Bioware trying to tell us? That around alchohol we are only observers? That it's true power to subvert and control Shepard becomes known, but we as players are powerless to inform Shepard of his fate?

How about the fact that TIM is shown drinking? An subtle link between the Indoctrinated and Alchohol? The glass that TIM uses is transparent, much like the holoscreens that abound in his office. Perhapes Bioware are hinting that, much like the screens which contain information, the glass which contains alchohol is an essential componant of TIMs fight against Shepard?

In ME2 we see that alchohol degrades Shepards ability to speak: "put more of the stuff in the thing more stuff goes in". I believe this is strong evidence that Shepard's mind is clearly being Indoctrinated and corrupted by its presence. Clearly. Wake up sheeple!

I wholeheartedly support this thread and theory.

Did you know there's a scene in Purgatory where you see Joker walking without a limp? I for one will not pass up this important clue left by the devs. It must be intoxication.

Jokers limp is clearly a figment of Shepards imagination - the indoctrination is making him believe that all humans are inherently weak. Joker is the embodiment of that false belief. Bioware are toying with us! The signs are there, you just have to see!!

It's a shame, some people passed down the legend of the Intoxicated Shepard as a warning to their future generations, but that guy took it too far.

id much rather start with new characters, if they are commited to the hellscape they created id rather a chance of not knowing how it works out tthan knowing what happened to shepard.

He doesn't have any codex entry. Therefore Shepard created this grunt through his delirium Tremons hallucination...

It all makes sense as to why he is so insipid!

yes yes! james vega is the version he sees himself as!  This makes the drunk conversation with ashley even more interesting, is shepard james vega? so many questions!
