To be fair, they only shot down the Indoctrination Theory.

IMO, this theory still works.

Yeah, we shouldn't let this little announcement get in the way of the facts.

I also found more proof:

There's an extended version of the movie The Hangover. Know what it's called?

The Hangover: Extended Cut

THEY WERE PLANNING THIS ALL ALONG!!!!!

I support this theory because, my femshep is a well known alcoholic.

Anderson even commented on her letting herself go in the opening scene of the game by patting her tummy.

If you played the Arrival DLC for ME2 than the intro to ME3 makes total sense:

Shepard went on a two day tequila and blow binge, got behind the wheel of an asteroid, and drove that mother-effer straight into a mass relay; which blew up the entire star system. It's lucky for Shepard that Joker was clam baking around the nearby nebula in the Normandy and got Shepard's text message to come rescue him.

Thankfully, Admiral Hacket is Shepards uncle and he spoke to the Batarian police before they could do a sobriety test.

Speaking of shots, who's ready to do some?

I totally had a dream last night about Shepard and Garrus getting drunk in heaven together, pretty sure it was a premonition regarding the Extended Cut announcement.

Ain't life grand?

He would have had one heck of a hangover. That could explain 99% of ME3. Then if you have enough drinking buddies around the galaxy they can all come to help Shepard wake up from under the piles of broken bottles, food packets, stuff he broke while staggering around drunk etc, which gives hope for more drinking to come!

Fact: Bioware is still intoxicated and realizes it, they won't be answering ME3 ending questions because that would add to their bad hangover like a loud noise.

Guys we have to promote these facts as true until BW and EA come out with a statement specifically dis-confirming the theory. But if they do that don't worry, it's just a sign that they're trying to intoxicate us in the real world so it means the theory is still true.

Cool thread. I think I'll hang out in here and wait for things to calm down in the rest of the forums.

I understand why you would want to adopt IT as your interpretation of the ending but.. why this need to force other people to embrace it?

I'm not really a drinker, but I've been ready to slam one down since I finished the game. A toast needs to be made to the grand (if inebriated) adventures of Commander Shepherd!

The lack of dimissal of Intoxication Theory implies we're on to something here. Another bottle and everything will be made clear, for the fans and the devs alike. What is alcohol good at? Bringing diverse people together who may not have got along by any other means. It's an ingenius mechanism really, the only way everyone can be truly happy.

Hold the wine, tequila se'lai, ingest eternity!

The only "intoxication theory" I subscribe to is that the writers must have been intoxicated when they made this ending.
