everything makes sense now. everything was a dream since that batarian bartender drugged your drink on omega!
Umm...guys...how are we sure that Shepard didn't have a bender and pass out in a bar after Acuze?
Okay, I seriously don't know if I can take all this in at once.
If that's true, and I'm not saying it is, but if it is....then just WOW!!!!

That has to be Photoshopped. Everyone know Shepard can't dance that well.
Oh whatever you stupid unbeliever! GTFO of this thread if you love the endings so much!!!! Don't bash our evidence!
I WILL support and defend the Intoxication Theory, HOWEVER I will NOT support evidence that is clearly faked. We all hate to admit it but Shepard can't dance.

That's actually a good point. We can't afford any mistakes that might poke holes in the theory!

Uh oh. I think I may have found a problem with this theory. I have a Shepard that never touched a drink all the way through the entire game.
So... how is he drunk then?
It is his subconscious mind telling him he has a drinking problem and how his life would improve if he quit. With that ending? Fat chance of quitting.

i have tried arguing with the indoctrination folks and showing them how one can take a single random theme and find circumstacial evidence to back that up, but that it isnt really evidence or proof.
i hope satire does the job that logic failed to do.

(OFF TOPIC) I support changing the ending. If it's done by using the Indoctrination theory that's fine with me. Just something better than what we got in my opinion.

well that would mean that everything you saw actually happened and you ruined the entire game series in the last 10 minutes. now take a drink. replay the game, now it works just fine.

I have to say, this works as an alternative far better than the Indoctrination one.

Obviously, you were playing it wrong.
When you meet with Garrus to shoot bottles on the Presidium, Shepherd says, "I don't think the Reapers have conquered alcohol yet." Bioware is assuming your Shepherd drinks, even if you never had Shepherd drink. It's like when you're playing as Joker in ME2 and EDI says that everyone on the ship has been taken, but if you still haven't woken Grunt up, then the Collectors really haven't taken anyone, have they?
Oooh, that raises another important question: How does the Joker scene fit into all this? Did that really happen? I mean, you're not playing as Shepherd...

Joker is OBVIOUSLY one of your "I Love You Man" guys and you're trying to remember if he ever bought that last round he owed you.
Edit to add
You visualize Joker moving through the ship. Crawling through crawl spaces (common alcohol hiding spaces), going down to the AI core to see who the hottie is that keeps talking to you and him.
Thus the ONLY reasonable explination is that the last time you were on shore leave, you and Joker went to a strip club and he said he'd get the last round and took off without buying it. Simple really.

Well, if we follow the same...logic...as the other "only viable ending theory", we could probably keep at it and fill this thread with facts.
