I've gotta penchant for playing an archer in any RPG I pick up (especially when you see guys like this  bad@ss mofo), but I've found they're usually weak and potentially frustrating to play. Should I take up a dual wielder instead? Two handed weap? Magic?

Also, I wanted to go the Dalish Elf route, but is it just me, or does the origin kinda suck compared to the human and dwarf ones?

This game's been worked on by Bioware for years. I'm sure going down the archer talent tree would be just as balanced as any other class in the game.



As for the origin... Well, you've gotta be a warrior or rogue to do an archer. So mage is out of the question. Personally, I think the City Elf one might be good, especially with a female character, but that's just me. Dwarf ones look boring to me, IMO, so I'd go with the elf ones.
