I think what honestly upsets me about the ending is that it ruins any games that are set in the Mass Effect Universe. We all know that the galaxy that we have been trying to save from total annhilation from the Reapers ends up being destroyed by essentially 3 linear endings that leave the galaxy in the same state than if the Reapers would have gone unaposed.

But what troubles me the most is that Mass Effect has such a rich universe that, until the end of Mass Effect 3 I passionately wanted to know more about. Now whenever I think about DLC or new games I just think how pointless it all is given our current ending.

What is really the point of a prequel or a game after the events of the Battle of Earth? We know how it ends, we know how pointless the struggles and choices will be. I dont think that BioWare can come out with DLC to fix this feeling that many of us share about future content and games for Mass Effect.

And I cannot for the life of me can even imagine why BioWare went this route. It destroyed any future expansion and games in the universe, and has uninterested many passionate fans about the future of Mass Effect.

Mass Effect. End of Line?

(P.S. I know ive always come on these forums supporting and hoping that the new ending content can fix this, but now I am wondering if this is even possible without a rewrite)
