Regarding the wounded Deygan in Brecilian Forest. With Morrigan, Alistair, and Leliana I have not encountered approval loss on looting his gear. I think I did this with Shale in place of Alistair once as well. Maybe killing him would cause a loss but I never chose that option. I return his token from his mother or something afterwards but I keep his gear. His boots in particular are useful for the hermit in the forest quest. And he gives you a minor amulet if you return his keepsake.

Also if you choose to return him to camp you don't actually make it back to camp you are intercepted by Mithra and others right at the zone line in the forest so it doesn't remove you from the section of forest you are already in.

Thanks for starting this =)

A lot of people probably miss the pressure plates/throne room in Orzammar. First plate is outside and you will probably run across it and hear the grinding sound a few times without trying. The other two are inside the throne room to the left, by the window showing a stream of lava. Put a character on each and have the 4th click the throne. Kill a dragon that gives you a named sword (but no codex entry =( ).

Or how to get the nug pet. Or the reqs for the foursome/threesomes in the pearl (I have yet to get either ><).

Hurray for all the love note locations and summary of hardening leliana and alistair (I figured the dialogue afterward didn't really matter).

A small tip for ranger/pet users when this event triggers your summon will be locked outside of the room so if you want a pet, summon after the fight starts. A similar thing happens when you fight broodmother.

Area of Effect spells can be cast through closed doors. Can't remember the names of them, but this is particularly useful with the blizzard, firestorm, and electrical storm spells. Simply march up to the door, cast the spell, and then move the AoE indicator around until you have maximum bad guy nameage showing up inside the white circle.

Particularly useful where there is a big baddy behind a door that requires a key to open. PLEASE NOTE, if the door isn't locked, the bad guys will usually come and open it and attack you, but if your survival is high enough, you'll see them coming.

It's a cheap strategy, but highly useful. You can wipe out entire squads without ever getting into combat.

It is notable that the Blackstone Irregulars quest, "A Change of Leadership" can EASILY bug out if you accept it anywhere except Denerim. If you accept it outside of Denerim, as you travel back to Denerim as the quest states you should do, it is possible to trigger the overworld encounter for the END of the quest, before doing the first part (meeting the guy in Denerim). When this happens, the guy in Denerim will despawn and you will never be able to meaningfully interact with the guy in the random encounter that is supposed to be the end of the quest. This makes the quest unfinishable.

Ok... I'll try again...
You need to control your guys separately. If you have a pc, hitting h does the trick. Or you click the hand icon under the party-member-bar.
You need to place three groupmembers on different panels and the fourth is the one walking over the bridge step by step.
I'll refer to the panel ones as 1, 2 and 3. Doesn't matter who they are.
I'll refer to the panels as right and left from the character's view when you imagine you're one of them entering the room.
I'll refer to the panels as r1, r2, r3 and so on and l1, l2, l3 and so on (r for right, l for left). Beginning with the panel closest to the entrance of the area.

Position 1 on r2
Position 2 on l3
Position 3 on l6
Walk on second bridge part
Position 2 on r4
Position 1 on l1
Walk on third bridge part
Position 3 on r5
Position 2 on l2
Walk to the other side of bridge.

Didn't you read what I wrote right between your two posts? It's exactly what you have to do at that bridge...

I think Potion quests are bugged... (PC version^)

You can donate 20x "Lesser" poultices to the Blackstones, I had 20 of both types at time, only the lessers were taken despite what the game states.

Same with Lyrium pots for Mages collective... Useful to know if wanna save cash here^

For the Phantom Bridge in the Gauntlet, basically, run around and get the feel of which platform pulls up which section of the bridge. A couple pull up two sections of the bridge. What you need to do is grab two characters to stand on the platforms that makes the entire bridge show up. After that, you have to get one of the other characters to step on the platforms in order to finish the materialization from your side over the next door. This has to be in order, skipping sections will cause them to not materialize.  I've not had to actually have any of my characters walk across the bridge before it's fully materialized.  I've done this with three different characters and it works for me each time.

If you are getting stuck in Templar Nightmare trying to break down massive doors, (probably not a problem for PC gamers, but console gamers might find it frustrating), I've found that if you target your Hurl ability on the other side of the door and execute, your character will run up to the door and stop, nothing happens. However, if you stand a distance off, target through the door, execute, and then press the execute button once more once your character starts moving, he/she will stop and throw their rock, breaking open the door.

Eh, can't console gamers simply try to open the door with hurl with trying to... open it like they would without being in golem form? That's what I always do to open them...he hurls automatically...

What Asante81 says. It just takes a second for the golem to move. He's slow in golem form. Just click on the door and wait a sec. In a jiff he will start doing the hurl animation and no more door.

I don't think I thoroughly made my appreciation clear earlier. Thank you so incredibly much for your time and effort on this. It has MANY things that even the game guide doesn't tell you.
