So its been a little over a week since I beat ME3, yea the ending was terrible but I think im finally getting over it, and no longer have that "just broke up with someone, trying to get over it for the next few weeks" feeling.

It is what it is I guess.

But man, ME2 was the best in the series for me, so many characters, so many things you could do, and that ending. Oh that ending. Best. Ending. Ever.

I don't have fun anymore playing ME2. I finished it five times but now I just find most of the missions boring as hell. The suicide mission still gives me chills though.

Here we go. Once a new game comes out, nostalgia for the previous game kicks in.

When ME1 came out, " I MISS KOTOR!!!"

When ME2 came out, " I MISS ME1!!!"

Now that ME3's out, "I MISS ME2"

The two years that everyone spent complaining about that game will be forgotten as they suddenly remember "yeah that suicide mission thing was pretty cool wasn't it? Wish ME3 coulda been more like that"

You know, Mass Effect 2 is my favorite game of all time and I still think the OP is wearing rose-colored glasses.

It happens with every game although when I compare it to the Halo forums this is nothing.

ME2 was awful.

The pointless storyline. The horrible boring side quests. The terrible loyalty missions.

The only thing great that came out of that game was the awesome character cast, and the sucicide mission.

Opinions, I know...but still. ME2 had 1,000 issues for me.

we're a mixed bag of walnuts in opinions. I thought ME2 was awesome on the level of unicorns and rainbows!

I just started my replay of ME1 and am having a blast. Looking forward to the same in ME2, and ME3 after that. Ending and all, although I may wait for the first piece of DLC. They're all great games. Flawed? Sure. Every game complex enough to be worth playing has flaws, the more complexity, the more flaws, and the more awesome things as well.

Back to playing ME2 since BF3 won't let me find a match to join after the 1328KB update...

Edit: repetitive language

Too bad the sequel made by a different company is better.

opinion.

personally the story was leaps and bounds better than KOTOR 2... and less glitchy.  felt more compelled to play KOTOR over and over than KOTOR 2.

every mass effect game has had things that i think every single one of us can appreciate....mass effect 1...mass exploration and story...mass effect 2..more visceral combat...mass effect 3...perfect mesh of mass effect 1 and 2 in terms of rpg and action elements. story wise...i really enjoyed it. very thankful that it wasn't a black or white ending and something inventive...my only problem with the ending is what happens with joker and the crew. besides that...very well done. one of my friends compared the ending to being "evangelioned" (reference to neon genesis evangelion)...i kinda laughed and just remarked that there's no whining kid with daddy issues choking a red head while a giant head sits in the background....

I loved Mass Effect 2, but I also hate Mass Effect 2. I just can't stand the combat system in the game.

Oh hey, there's a chest high wall sitting in the middle of an open field, and the music just changed, I'm about to be attacked. Rinse and repeat.

Basically, the combat in Mass Effect 2 was extremely repetitive.

I just miss the mechanics that made me love ME 2 !!!
-Why have a door on ME 3 that says "Bypass" just so that you can see your character touch it for a few seconds before it opens, what the fudge happend to the circuit boards mini game from number 2???
-Why are there so few N7 suits.. And why do you have to rebuy the ME 2 DLC armour at stores (if you already owned them in ME 2)???
-Where the hell is my collector assault rifle in ME 3 (PS3 version)?
-Why the hell is the Citadel the only place I can explore???
ect ect ect...

Just too many things to mention... Just wish they kept it the same as what they did in MAss Effect 2. It had the perfect balance for me on both an RPG, exploration and gameplay perspective.

I have to say ME2 is my favourite mass effect game because it has the most gray morality on it (you´re working with cerberus to save the galaxy), you have a lot of freedom to go (from the citadel to illium to omega to tuchanka). The sidequests are nice (not just probing and getting war assets), the gameplay is pretty good (i like how shepard has less points than ME3 so you can´t have every skill maxed) and you have wide range of squadmates to choose from, and most of them have cinematic dialogue, not only Zaeed/Kasumi dialogue. I also enjoy more to get weapons after the mission, and buy things from the store, rather than finding things all over the levels in ME3, that really annoys me. So yeah unless ME3 dlc is extremely good and change the game a lot, i can safely say that ME2 is for me the best mass effect game.

People hated the minigames so BioWare took them out. That was a good move in my opinion.

Just wish they kept it the same as what they did in MAss Effect 2. It had the perfect balance for me on both an RPG, exploration and gameplay perspective.

Yeah I'm not a fan of sequels having less of something than the games that came before it. I hate GTA IV because it lacked a lot of elements compared to its predecessor.

ME2 was my favorite game, though I thought the human reaper was clownish. The DA:O opening stories and the ME2 suicide mission are at the top of my list in best gaming moments. ME1 had the best story, I think. ME3 had some really epic moments for me (Ranoch, Krogan, etc) and the game play itself was the best of all, but the ending really, really ruined it for me. Multiplayer is fun.

ME3's no different. You just turtle up, and survive waves instead, now.
