Till last week the game ran super smooth on my rig (GeForce 560ti, 8 gb ram), then the FPS dropped and became unplayable. The only fix I found was to reinstall the latest nvidia driver, but that only works for a bit.
Any suggstions besides that one?
Since last week FPS has been really buggy (+minor fix)

Hello.
Here is a fix to the FPS issues for Nvidia graphic solutions.
(As far as I know AMD doesn't have simmilar problems)
TURN MASS EFFECT 3 off!
1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel
(Rightclick desktop or open it through control panel)
2. Select "Adjust image settings with preview"
(Found on the lefthand tab under "3D Settings")
3. Upon opening the choice above. Make sure "Let the 3D application decide" is checked!
(Found under the spinning Nvidia-logo)
Restart Mass Effect 3, if problem persists, even though this fixed it in the replication of the bug. Do the following.
1. Right click windows bar (a empty segment) and choose "Start Task Manager"
(OR open task manager with Control + Alt + Delete and select "Start Task Manager")
2. Select the "Processes" from the Task Manager.
(Second tab from the left)
3. If Mass Effect 3 is NOT running, please start it. Then Select "MassEffect3.exe" or "MassEffect3.exe *32" depending on your OS.
(Sorting with memory useage will bring it to the highest options assuming you arrange it the largest on top)
4. Right click the exe and choose "Set Affinity..."
5. Upon the popup diagologue, uncheck ALL OTHER cores than "CPU 0" and "CPU 1"
(This will reset each start up of the game, but re-doing this shouldn't be required.)

I had the same problem but that my fps went down to 11 fps in game and troubleshooted this with a "Debashish" a customer services representive from EA.
# We also replicated the glitch/buggy fps by chaing the Nvidia 3D settings to "Use my preference emphasizing: Quality".
(This also was fixed via methods above!)
# The glitching is only present with Nvidia graphics cards (friends with AMD graphic solutions do not have this issue).
