I've accepted two side quests while on the Citadel - one from Barla Von to rescue the Shadow Broker's troops, and one from an ambassador to investigate his son's disappearance on Benning.
Both the missions appear in my journal, but not on the galaxy map on the Normandy. There are no systems with the names of those in the missions that I can fly to.
Why is this happening? I'm still early in the game and just completed Priority: Palaven so I wasn't sure if I haven't unlocked parts of the map yet. I also read though that some missions (like Grissom Academy) are time-limited, and disappear if you do too much of the game before attempting them.
Can anyone help, please? Reached out to @masseffect on Twitter but they just referred me here.

Some of the side missions involve you going to places that you can't get to when you first can get the missions. If you do one or a few main missions, those clusters/systems should open up and then you can go there and do the missions. Little mini-missions like those don't disappear within a set period of time, really only a small group of the side missions do have a timer on them.
