I loved this power when I got it from Miranda in ME2, but I couldn't seem to access it in ME3...  Is Javik the only way to get this power, even if you had it before?  Is there some kind of file I can edit to get access to slam on my shepard?

Don't know off the top of my head how to unlock in game.

But Gibbed's Mass Effect 3 Save Editor should let you add it to your Shepard.

You can get it. Just talk to him after every mission and eventually it will unlock. He gives slam first then further dialogue will get you dark channel.

I loved slam in ME2. Great for husks and pretty funny on the outside of the Shadow Broker's ship. I selected it in ME3 when I got it and I think I used it one time. And that one time was to see if it did the same thing as before.

I tried it out, but it didn't seem to have very much damage on it's own. I really didn't appreciate it. I couldn't even one shot husks on insanity. I used it more for stunning and CC.

Slam hardly did any damage in ME2, I don't know why you would expect it to suddenly do a lot of damage in this game. Of course, it still has value for CC and Warp bombs.

Exactly. Short cooldowns and crowd control are what I used it for (on Insanity). Infiltrator's a bit lacking in that area, took Slam as a bonus power to make up for it. Didn't kill much with it except in conjunction with biotic detonations, but it was a great "get off my back" power to toss out.

Really? Slam kills everything with me and whatever it doesn't kill is left stunned thanks to the final upgrade.

Unlike the rest of that character's build, which was geared for maximum damage with melee, sniping, and eating armor with Incinerate and sticky grenade, I chose evolutions of Slam that made it cool down quickly, hit groups, maximized detonation damage, and increased stun time. I had little or no increases to my base power damage either, so Slam wasn't doing much damage. Didn't want or need it to- I wanted a "get off my back" power. And in that role, it excelled.

Slam seems pretty mediocre to me. That's on insanity though. It doesn't really kill much there, just makes the enemies bounce around a bit. Seems like I'm always better off using another power.

I suppose the one good thing about it is its low cooldown. It's acceptable CC for the cooldown at least.
