You should go down to the hacking zone, you download quicker wich means more money and less chance of getting overrun, plus on silver its not hard and you will not get overrun. Im pissed when someone stays out of the hacking zone. What you were doing would have been usefull maybe on gold, but really its known that in a hackjob all should be in the zone.

Not always true.
Infiltrators forced into often short range can be too much of a dps loss.
Credits are neglible if safety is more important, even 1 person is enough to hack a zone, 2 people get it done it perfectly fast enough.
Uusually depends on the set-up and situation though.

You should have gone to the circle. You were costing your team XP and credits by staying outside of it. Nothing makes me more angry than team mates who ignore that objective just to score some kills. I hold the zone as a vanguard and as a Krogan. There's no excuse for ignoring it.

And nothing makes 'me' more angry than simplistic players with no common sense or logic who probably flame players for doing the sensible thing and probably saving the group from a wipe just because you think it's always better to save a few extra seconds regardless of the situation.

Go for hacking , the objective is cleared faster, if the situation became problematic use a cobra missile, pretty simple. If no one have a cobra missile (if it is needed, usually don't) take the enemies fast , try to use your turret to distract them ...

But that is not a motive to be rude. Sometimes I shoot the guy to see if he start to do something useful lol

The more players are in the hack zone the more credits you earn for time bonus. It was a mistake not to be there. Most see this as ego-tripping, Especially on silver its pretty easy to be in the hack zone. You also can set up your turrets and go there afterwards. No need to be outside.

it's best to all go to the zone and finish the mission asap but that doesn't excuse the guy's behaviour.

So.

Im in game, silver for fun ( usualy play gold ), Im Quarian Engineer with mattock.

We got Hack task to preform vs geth troops in Giant base.

So I stood on balcony, droping my drone on field to lay covering fire and stop those geth hunters etc. from getting to hacking zone, yeh cool it's fine, noone get's trough, they focus on my turret while im taking them down with mattock and incinerate.

And then I hear :

" You **** **** quarian engineer get your ass to hacking zone".

So,

Was my job made properly, gettin and keeping them off hacking zone, or i should just run into ot and let them come on ur, overrun us and kill.

No, it necceserily wasn't.
Unless you're saying snipers should often be forced into close quarters and lose all effectiveness.

I think its situational depending on group character skill set, player actual skills, map and enemy.

I have found, dependant on the class im playing hanging back on any difficulty can be very useful, allowing you to kill or severly damage/injure mobs before they get to the group. Also, if things go bad you can rush in and ninja res team mates whilst the remaining standing team mate in the hack zone has all the agg.

Infiltrators, Salarian & Geth Engineers have ways of keeping themselves alive when alone and can give it a go. I did well with my tanky Batarian soldier by kiting Banshees around the map so my 3 man team could capture easier.

Not a recommendation but not useless.

Yes everyone. Faster time is more credits. Simple.

The only thing here that's simple is your tunnel vision point of view.
On gold and later waves in silver, depending on the set-up and position, everyone stacking at the hack zone will get everyone cluster****ed, swarmed and wiped, so no, for the sake of a few credits, it is not worth it. Especially when certain classes output is being gimped because of it.
The sooner people realise this, the better.

I'm not psychic. I can't really answer that question. People just do decide to be idiots.
And more importantly, rocket launchers should be a last resort. If there's a more effective tactic to use where you can save them, then just do that.

Almost every time I walked into a Gold Lobby as a Random, people were rude. If I am playing Silver and come across a group that gels, I ask them if they want to farm Gold, and that usually goes very well.

As far as the OP goes, if someone is an ass, feel free to just return to the lobby. Click. It's a freaking game. It's supposed to be fun. Yeah, you make a few more credits with everyone in the hack circle. But it's a game. It's not worth castigating some stranger over the internet, and I've got better things to do than be yelled at by some basement dweller who has to have his monopoly money. Sheesh.

I like to have everyone on the hack, but then we usually hold off the swarms with biotics or techs. hacking faster gets you slightly more creds and also stops the bad guys from spawning faster. On gold that matters, on silver, less so.

That said, if I see a team mate out of place I generally dont mind. In a gold match Ill voice a request and why I think it will help if they move somewhere but Im not rude about it. If the person ignores me then we carry on and hope they survive. Ultimately if you are killing stuff, we are winning, so its all good.
