This is a facebook group for people that think Bioware shouldn't change the Mass Effect ending, it doesn't matter if you liked or disliked the ending, just so long as you acknowledge that it is bioware's story and they can tell it the way they want.  This is a place where you can discuss Mass Effect without getting criticized for actually liking the game.  Please don't join just to troll.

Sorry if this has already been posted.  Please keep this thread alive so people can see it.

It's all Bioware's story, when you examine it enough.

They're not changing the ending anyway, just patching up the most daring plotholes with dlcs.
Oh, and totally /not joining, since that's basically supporting the pre-release lies.

I will never support this.

If you don't like the ending, or don't want that the ending changes because is bioware stuff, just don't update/dlc your game. You have your choice, but the people that disagree doesn't

But this kind of group is not in favour of bioware, is against the majority of the players. If you don't believe me, see the polls.

I'm not joining either. I don't care enough about the endings to want them changed. But this hiding behind art thing I don't agree with either.

You only need to look over the "post screen shots of games with bettersweet endings" thread to see just how badly Bioware have screwed up here. Factor in the pre-release statements and it's not suprised that people are unhappy.

I'm not joining but it will be interesting to see if you can match the Retake movement's numbers.

All the retake and hold the line and cupcakes and m&ms and facebook groups are highlighting is just how badly people want to be part of a movement, any movement. I wish you good fortune.

No.

Also the group name makes it very general. Anyone who just likes the first game named "Mass Effect" might be compelled to join, while still hating ME3.

It is.

But BioWare's own advertisement spoke of YOUR story, however. Which is the reason why there is such an outrage over the ending, instead of acceptance.

I mean, Matrix Revolutions was the same to Matrix as ME3 ending is to the ME franchise, and it is just as full of plotholes, but nevertheless NOONE demanded the Wacholski brothers change it. Everyone realized it was there story, and thus fine if they wanted to turn it into crap, because they never promised anything else.

But you can tell your story, you just have to tell it within the world Bioware provided. The only game where you can write whatever story you want is called "blank sheet of paper and a pencil." You can end that however you like.

I think it's the true fans who are the most upset about the ending, which does not fit into the Mass Effect ideal of choice and customization. True fans expected better. HOLD THE LINE.

You are confined to their world, but you get to make choices, and your actions define the outcome. Just like in Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins and probably other games too.
