Well political correctness is part of what's wrong with today's world. While the joke might have been a little racey, there was a time when such things were taken in stride. Because they didn't really mean anything to begin with.

There was also a time when Mickey Rooney caricaturized Japanese people in the most vile manner ever, but... hey... let's blame the modern world for being politically correct.
 

The political correctness has made people too senstive though.  I'm not saying that everything done in the name of comedy is okay.  But certainly no one should be safe from it either.

The same reason why polls don't sample everyone. It's not possible, and most people can't be bothered. The simple fact that Bioware are starting to cave is indication enough that it is the majority that are not happy. If it was truly a vocal minority, they wouldn't budge.

Cave in how? They were always going to address any issues brought up in the form of DLC to resolve issues people have. If just one person noticed a problem, if they felt it is a problem and agreed with that one person it would end in the same result. It is also possible to poll almost everyone with Bioware sending out via email, XBL, Origin, PSN to all who registered and bought the title.

Articles are based on individual opinions of those who write them, polls are pointless online these days, funny thing is that I could hire for less than $50 more then 50,000 people to vote against you in any situation by way of whats known as the 5 cent brigade (google it).

don`t know for sure.... don`t think we have a Bioware/Ea Asia or wharever... and japanese magazines are too buzy with japanese games...to tell the truth, mass effect 1 and 2 came too late here... almost 1 or 2 year after the us release date... and when ME1 was out, Xbox360 wasn`t very popular... so many didn`t play it
don`t think there is a giant fanbase here like US or Europe... but wharever...
