I have had the freezes during cut scenes too. I had to watch the thresher maw/reaper scene on youtube! When I reached it in game it skipped so much and froze so badly it looked like a corrupted slide show instead of a vid clip!
I have found that the only way to fix these freezes that happen during gameplay is to save my game, quit the game completely, and then reload it. Sometimes it takes two times before it works right. It saves me from getting killed though. The first time a freeze happened in single player gameplay a Cereberus soldier I couldn't even turn to face killed me hand to hand. One second I'm showing damage from behind, then everything froze for about ten seconds, and then I was dead. Really troublesome!

So we know that Bioware can track the PS3 gameplay stats (see announcement for Operation Beachhead - if we have the online option for that checked). The ONLY problem, therefore, is that somehow Sony objects to Bioware singling out players based on their gameplay stats for the purpose of awarding commendation packs... THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!
I spoke to the highest level of customer support at Sony that you can, and he was a SUPER nice guy who was obviously a gamer and knew all about the things I was asking. He straight up said that Sony does not even have control over in-game rewards, since those are handed out by the EA server, not the PSN or the PSN store. He even brought up the very example I've used - he said "For example, if you've played SSX, the in-game money you get from winning events has nothing to do with us, they don't need our permission for in-game rewards."
Seriously, it's time to get some gaming blogs to shine a spotlight on this.
BIOWARE, Is the reason PS3 users are not included because of you or not? Is it because of an agreement you have with microsoft? If you explain the situation to us we will stop being angry at you for keeping us in the dark.

I'm just going to vote with my money and never buy a Bioware product again until something is done to make the game playable on PS3.
I know several other people that bought Mass Effect 3 for PS3 and have had problems with their PS3 after playing ME3. One person I know had the game crash in a loading screen and had all their game saves for ME3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning become corrupted. He had to start both games over from the beginning. He isn't playing ME3 again until there's an install option as well.
So myself and a few other people I know are boycotting Bioware until the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 is fixed. So considering Bioware's record for fixing their games for PS3, I'll never be buying a Bioware product again.
Edit: I purchased the N7 edition. Which was rather disappointing as well. <_<

Yes, ME3 needs to be fixed.
So, how about instead of griping at BioWare that it's broken, we start taking detailed notes about HOW it's breaking on us, and forwarding those on to the BioWare folks, so they actually have the data points they need to start working on the fixes?
I, personally, know someone who had to reformat their HDD because of a crash that happened while playing ME3. I'm not going to risk breaking my PS3 to let Bioware know where the problems are. The problems are everywhere. The disc shouldn't become hot after an hour or so of play. That's what happens to me when I attempt to play ME3. It plays mediocre for an hour then my PS3 starts to make noises and if I don't take the disc out and cool it down, my system will freeze. Restarting doesn't help, it only delays the freeze. I'm less then 10% into the game and I can't even play it.
All of the problems with ME3 and not being able to play Star Wars: The Old Republic because of major framerate problems leaves an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Like my previous post said, I won't be buying a Bioware game ever again until they fix the major issuses with the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3.

Tried putting up a plea on their facebook page and it got deleted.
That's our answer to all the PS3 problems: Thank you for your money, Frak you... /ignore.
Well, Bioware is getting a big fat /ignore from me on anything else they make if nothing is done to fix the PS3 version.

you do know that will never happen right lol look at the exposior that ME3 got with the PS3 fans and with the rate that Biofail/EA is doing is another reason why it wont happen.Pappi wrote...
Well fixed of course, ideally. A nice new edition with a shiny box (for all consoles actullay) redone in HD.

The only time ME3's ever really lagged on me was once during Priority: Earth. I quit, restarted, and reloaded the autosave and it was good again.
That and a small lag when I first start multiplayer. But that goes away after a moment.
