Ok is the EA Core Server Application allowed through your Firewall.
The file should be C:Origin GamesMass Effect 3BinariesWin32CoreEACoreServer.exe
If not you may need to add it.

It is.

Same.

I got mine to work (unless someone fixed something)

Go to C:\\Program Files\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\DLC  (assuming you're using C:\\)
Move DLC_OnlinePassHidCE folder to your desktop (keeping it just for a backup, delete it if it works)
Open Origins
Go to the Game Details of Mass Effect 3
Repair Install the DLC called N7 Collector's Edition Materials  (The DLC name may vary. Just guess what the online pass may be under.)

Thanks for the tip, sadly this did not fix it for me. But it was worth a try.

Same, doesn't fix anything. But I already knew that...

@Wynessa thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately if it was a local configuration issue (which however unlikely because I haven't changed anything in my network topology/configuration and the game was able to function since release date until yesterday it is possible) it wouldn't explain why I get the issue when I log in with my account and my friend doesn't when he logs in with his immediately after... Same computer, same settings, same session, same network, different login produces different results...

One would think the likelihood of being login account related is very high

@iNgUmA69 I agree it seems that EA has some work to do to fix this issue.
I had the same problem on day one with the DLC and Online Pass and the solutions I suggested worked for me. I had the same problem with Dragon Age 2 so I am getting used to fixing this considering it was the same problem both times.

Hope they fix it soon.

I'll give it another shot today after work :)

They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results, but at this point your success story amounts to 50% of the success stories on this matter posted in this forum, the other 50% is another fellow poster that says a specific EA Game Advisor logged in his account and this fixed the issue...

Besides, I remember errors I found logged in the event viewer which I spotted while troubleshooting a completely unrelated issue that involved the root certificates not being properly updated/refreshed (had to manually delete root certificates to "regenerate" them) so maybe is all related...

We'll see, maybe if you do the same thing over and over again you do en the end get different results :D

Yeah you gotta love EA support.

There was a bug with BF3 Beta where they incorrectly put a é in the word Beta and people could not connect to the servers. The fix was to rename the folder then 2 registry keys just to be able to connect. Not bad for a simple spelling error.

From other thread:
xGoGix :"If you use FlyVPN, you can play and error message will not repeat. But in trial-mode FlyVPN work 30 minutes.
I don't have another variants, guys from online-support chat tell me "We can't help to you, use this program. Problem will be fixed".
always somthing new to check.

@Wynessa, tried your workaround, didn't work for me.

Tried uninstalling Origin, ME3, KoAL:R, everything... Deleted any folder that was Origin/EA related (after making protected/system files visible), erased all keys from the registry that mentioned either game, or EA or Origin, reinstalled and updated Origin, downloaded and installed ME3, nothing, same result...

I suppose this is it for me with ME3, I'm not prepared to purchase the online pass and DLC again, and can't used any of my saved games because they require "From Ashes"...

I hope future Bioware games are released on Steam... At least the games there do work...

None of these have worked for me Either.

I have been getting this same error since release day, when I bought From Ashes... I've called EA repeatedly, and they claim that my case is still in the cue...

I feel like a troll every time I triple post something, but there are three threads (at least) about this issue...

Cuttin a long story short, after going on chat with a Game Advisor again today seems I found a chap that was empathic and understanding and I got my From Ashes DLC "reinstated".

He supplied me with a code that upon redemption re-enabled From Ashes for me. The code didn't have a description (well, yes, "description not available") but it did work.

"From Ashes" only shows once in my "Registrerd Game Content" page, so it doesn't seem to be just another From Ashes DLC code... not sure how this whole DRM works though, so can't be certain about this.

Regarding the MP issue he was puzzled because according to his information an online pass was only required on PS3/Xbox360, not on PC. He had to escalate the issue further.

All in all a really helpful and understanding chap.

Same issue with people with the same problem. No fix. No work around. No word from Bioware.

5th time in a month that i was told on live chat that my case was being escilated and the 'expert team' should respond within 24-48 hours- After explaining to my livechat agent that this was the 5th time someone told me this and after waiting a month i still have not heard from the expert team i demanded an email address for them, after i done this my livechat agent disconnected the chat.

Bioware if your listing please fix this so i can play the game with the content that I PAID FOR!!!

EA- if your listening sort your Livechat agents out, get ones that are at least computer literate and instead of telling them to lie to get us off livechat using the expert team excuse tell them to just tell us the truth that they dont know how to fix it!!

P.S. I know its been said before but i love the fact that I have paid for the collectors edition with my own hard earned cash and cant play it yet the pirates who steal their copies of the game can play it NO PROBLEM!!! sort it out bioware soon- or this will be the last time that i purchase one of your games!!!

 Hello all.

Hopefully this will help.  When I first got the game, I had trouble saving, and had to use a switch on shortcut found on my desktop to get the saves to work.  Then I had to reformat, and lost that.

I reinstalled and got both DLCs... and then found I couldnt' authorize the content either.  I spent a long time looking at the forums, looking at the traffic coming in and out of my firewall etc.. and couldnt' for the life of me figure it out.

Then I remembered that I had to set up the switch on my shortcut (I hadn't bothered after the reformat because I hadn't been able to get the authorized content to work).  I then added the switch, started the game with the shortcuto n my desktop.. and well.. what do you know. It was able to authorize the content.  Go figure. So, in teh effort to try and help this community, here are the steps I followed:

(Please note that I have origin games and orgin saved on a different drive than C)
  • Put a Shortcut for ME3 on your desktop.
  • Right click it and go to properties.
  • In the target, after the location of MassEffect3.exe"  put the following switch  -nohomedir.  It should look something like this: "E:\\OriginGames\\Mass Effect 3\\Binaries\\Win32\\MassEffect3.exe" -nohomedir
  • Click on Advanced, and have it run as administrator.
  • Start the game from that shortcut.  See if it works. :)
I hope this helps others.

This didn't work for me :(

I am 99% that this problem is on EA's side- something to do with our accounts during the authentication process!

Problem with Resurgence DLC SOLVED, at least for me.

Decided to try and login on my machine with another account and got the same error. Then used the other account on a different computer and it worked, the Multiplayer DLC loaded. So, i suspected it was my computer and not anything on EA's side.

So next steps... I shut down the game and Origins. Uninstalled origin's client. Went through Registry and deleted any keys with "Mass Effect 3" in it. About 15 probably. Then i deleted the DLC and all config files i could find in the actual game folder. I did not fully delete the game nor did i delete my save games. But in the same game folder i did delete some config / meta looking files.

Re-installed origins, re-installed the DLC's and now everything seems to be working.

Dude answer please on one my question: did you have before in main menu point "Downloadable content"?
