Feels like if you're bringing up that as an arguement, you're using that even for Gears of War and other misc games out in the market, and in the end of the day; You're probabably some homophob or just haven't come out of the closet.
Srsly.

A male that plays a female in games is gender confused. Not saying you're gay but there is a bit of confusion going on there.

Uh huh, sweeping generalisations, where would we be without them?

Then I guess the Tomb Raider and any other game with a female main are specifically for those who are either confused or comfortable enough with themselves and know just who they really are to have no confusion whatsoever.Sublyminal wrote...

Yet, it makes logical sense that those who make the claim of confusion could easily be the ones experiencing it themselves.

If you could, would you pick greater butt ? It could be great advice for next Bioware´s game character creator.

As a girl, I always play as FemShep. I tried to use MaleShep once but I couldn't play more than 10 minutes, it was almost disgusting. Bad voice acting, tons of testosterone... I can't play +100 hours staring at a gym rat!
What... 0.o...
Male Shep has the best voice acting.... and how is he a gym rat! that would be vega, also shep tons of testosterone WTF maybe if your renegade but then you did that not the game. I'm slightly offended LOL
Thats like me saying " I can't play femshep to much estrogen"..... WHAT????? you act like male shep is foaming at the mouth and puching every one in the face.... he punches the same amount of people as femshep

With femshep you get a much better view when starring at her back.
50/50 really, If I roleplay my guy than its a guy, when I treat the game like watching a movie than I play either one, both are fun and its like watching two different films.

When I want to play a woman, I'll look through my gf's wardrobe.
When I want to play WITH a woman, I'll start by lighting some candles and wait for her to get home.

You can't really have this hard a time understanding that it's hard for males to to connect to a female protagonist? Do you really find it that hard to believe? Especially in ME when people basically try to play themselves if they were in shep's shoes.lucidfox wrote...

The goal of most rpg's is to connect the player with the player character. If you're playing a female, that's not me.
So you're veteran military officers with training from hell in real life? Good to know.

Same reasons as Reign and shinobi. I am a male, so I pick male character, put myself in his shoes and mostly choose the options I would choose IRL... so to speak.
However when I try to play something radically different, like all out renegade, I choose femshep. The different gender disconnects me from the character, making "bad choices" easier to do. Its crazy, but it works.
This.
And maleshep / Garrus are ultimate bros.
