I've just downloaded a save file from masseffectsaves.com, because I have no save file with Liara romance and wanted to see how it looks in ME3:devil:
Anyway, the person who posted the save file says his character is Earthborn/Vanguard. The problem is, when I open Mass Effect 2 save in Mass Effect 3 menu, and it lists major decisions blabla, it says he is SPACER/Vanguard...Uh, I don't get it. Does my other save file, and that's Spacer/Engineer conflicts with this save and changes the background? Also, the first time it said Sole Survivor/Vanguard, then it changed to Spacer/Vanguard.
So, is there a solution to this?

I would guess it was mislabeled. Can you say which file you got so I can test it? Or open it with Gibbed's and see.

Oh, did you put the save file in the same folder as your Shep? It needs it's own folder. If there is saves with things in the same folder, I have seen this happen.

I've put it in a separate folder, I've followed the instructions on the website

Actually, I think this is a bug. Are you talking about the screen when you can pick which to import? I have plays from ME2 that have all three different origins but on that screen, all of them say "Spacer" but inside the game, it is correct. Just that pick screen doesn't show the correct one.

Gibbed's is showing that one as Earthborn.

Correction: My one colonist shows as "colonist". But all my others either Earthborn or Spacer show as Spacer on that screen.

Yes, the screen when you pick which one to import! Thank you sooo much, so he will be earthborn in the game itself? :wizard:

Yes. I played an Earthborn already and I now see if I import that one again it says on that screen Spacer. I guess I didn't pay it attention like you caught it.

But during a mission when they hit a planet, Shep said something like "This place reminds me of the place I grew up on Earth." Now my actual Spacer one didn't make that same comment on that mission but during a talk with Garrus on the Normandy made reference to the Spacer origin.

There is also one more thing: when you talk to Hackett he says that your mother is safe and sound if you have Spacer origin
