Just stay as far back as possible and keep shooting at the one closest to you. You don't have to do anything special. If you are really having trouble try not even using the right mouse (or consol equivalent) to aim. In that dazed state it seems to take too long to be effective although I'm not 100% sure on that.Aurien wrote...
Anyway, any tips for the husks for a newb novice like me? lol

Tried that (I'm on xbox) and it did seem to help a bit, managed to get them all down twice then Marauder killed me. heh. Mostly though only getting one, maybe two down at a time.
I really feel like such a novice.

The fact that it's been named "Marauder Shields" is funny in itself but to now call it a boss fight is just hilarious!

The reason it's called 'insanity' mode in the first place is that you will go insane after fighting through all the super tough battles to get the very same ending.
Ps, I found it harder to kill Dr Eva than Mr Shields, I just headshotted him a couple of times, then spammed his chest while i stood still. Actually, IMHO the husks were the hardest bit about that bit cos it was going REALLY jerky at the time.

I don't read the ME3 forums that often, so I am completely lost here.CanonShepard wrote...

What section with Marauders is so difficult? And all Marauders I run into have shields...

Headshot? I didn't even know you could die during that scene.
MP is a good practice for headshotting. Get a Carnifex/Paladin and work on your twitch aim.
Capn, he's referring to the Shep's crawl to the final teleporting beam on Earth.

1) YOU DON'T HAVE TO HIT HIM BEFORE HE HITS YOU THE FIRST TIME
2) YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME TO LINE UP YOUR FIRST SHOT
3) YOU DON'T HAVE TO HIT HIM IN THE HEAD AT ALL!!!! SO LONG AS YOU HIT IN RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHEST ON EVERY SHOT... THIS MADE IT A LOT EASIER!!!

Lastly, you might practice target shooting on the range from coming out of a roll, just to improve your ability to sight the moving target.

is this a console thing cos I've never had any problem (pc)
Yes because its in slow motion and you are constantly staggering, it messes with your precision with the controls. With a PC your mouse cursor doesn't slow down dramatically does it? It took me several times on insane but finally I gave up hitting him in the head multiple times and just pegged him in the chest multiple times, it kept himm staggered.
If you are still have problems after doing this adjust your control sensitivities to very low so you don't over compensate.

Now that someone has explained which section I do understand. I have not had a problem with that guy, nor do I anticipate having a problem with him at any point in the future.

Nope... I had already beaten the game twice and have all the achievements. If I hadn't beaten the game then I wouldn't have asked because I would have imagined it was a section I hadn't reached yet.

Yeah, basically Marauder Shields is a running joke, where that last Marauder before stepping into the Conduit is trying to save you from the rest of the ending.

Ha, well that makes it actually funny. I am of course sympathetic to jokes about the ending... see my "sig."Praetor Shepard wrote...

The trick would be get a PC with a mouse so you don't have aiming problems? Sorry but it's not difficult at all, at least it shouldn't.Thetri wrote...
Is there some trick to this? I've been at this for 3 days now and its starting to get very annoying.
Consoles since the PS2 sported USB ports. And some games on it (esp shooters) supported mouse/keyboard. I can't see why they don't do that anymore.
