But yeah. 27 tries. There were tedious but winnable parts if you use patience, but this... I reloaded less on the Defend Missiles part with the infinite spawning Banshee pairs and mooks. Had flashbacks of the Collector Base on ME2. *shudder*

By the way, I wasn't suggesting drugs earlier. There are other ways to amp yourself up. Gather a large audience. Go out on a limb with someone you're attracted to. Certainly stranger things have been done in the name of defeating a video game boss.

Aim for head, I had the same problem trying to get past Eva on Mars, but if you hit the head... I think.
I didn't even know Eva could be a problem ... I was shooting her and even though I only got her health about halfway she didn't kill me. Or is that how it's meant to be? I forgot what happened in the Normal playthrough.
Sorry to hijack this, OP. Still in the middle of my Insanity playthrough so no advice yet. Getting nervous about this boss battle though.
This, I posted a thread about it on the 360 forum. Funny how restarting the NG+ import again fix the unkillable problem. I killed Eva with 2 shots on the 2nd import while being virtually unable to kill her with the first import. Both at Insanity.

I wasn't trolling seriously. Finally over with now, had to get someone else to do it. I'm too enraged to it myself. Dont care, I beat 99 percent on insanity and ME2.
It's a garbage ending. Your "Dont care" attitude is precisely the one to adopt about this bogus situation. The first time I faced Marauder Shields I threw up my arms in a mixture of surprise, amusement, and disgust. It's the sort of thing you'd expect in a cheesy imported rail shooter, not in Mass Effect.

I don't see any problem with Marauder Shields, after the 3 Husketeers he is a fitting and logical enemy.
LOL, good one!

Is there some trick to this? I've been at this for 3 days now and its starting to get very annoying.
Keep shooting him in the head. That is how you defeat him.

I had a hard as hell time with him until I discovered you don't need to get head shots. You can take him down with body shots as long as you don't miss. Just take it slow and take the time to line up each shot and let the reticule shrink all the way between each shot. You can take a second or so between shots, so long as you don't miss. If you're having trouble overcompensating for the stagger effect lower the sensitivity on the stick.
It's stupid how hard he can be on the console version. I've tried him on PC with a mouse on Insanity and it's a piece of cake. They really need to compensate for how much harder it is to aim with dual sticks, because he's easy to take down with a mouse regardless of difficulty.

At least reading about being able to use the Kinect to use powers gives me hope.

I just came to this portion on my insanity run, playing on 360. After failing four times I turned off the console. The rest of the game was relatively easy on Insanity, and now it's this difficult? Ugh.

I feel for you. Just give the controller to someone else. Worked wonders for me.

Stasis is very helpful on Marauders. Otherwise overload can one shot their shields and stun them for a second or two. Energy Drain works good to. If you remove the shield, you really have to stay on top of them until they are dead otherwise they recharge.
hes talking about Marauder Shield who you fight at the end after you get lasered, not regular marauders

In a way it feels like cheating, but I have the benefit of having the Kinect. After reading this thread I went back and used the voice controls and was able to use my biotics; it made this encounter the single easiest thing on my entire Insanity run.

I can't kill Eva core at mars because my n7 pistol only have 3 rounds and take too much time to reload so she always kill me.
