Hi, I posted down in mass effect discussion but trying here too.
Anyone know what to do if you can't find Mass Effect 2 CD?
- It's a legal retail copy, I don't want to buy a new one cause all the DLC's are linked to this CDKEY (dunno if thats how it works)
- I registered it on Origin and shows up in MY GAMES but still asks for CD
- Could I play all my DLCS and Saves if I give up and download Digitial Download version?
-If Mod dun like this thread here pls close it
ty pls dun troll me lol, i just wanna play mass effect when it was happier times.

You added the key in Origin, but it asked for CD?
The only thing I can think of is that ME2 isn't installed in your system, or that Origin can't detect it.
How do you see the CDKEY of your registered game in your Bioware account anyway? I'm also trying to do this as well.
Also the DLCs and the Dr. Pepper stuff allows you to download them even without Mass Effect in your system. Yes, the download links are available as "Registered Game Content" for every user, but I doubt that they are linked to the CDkey. I could be wrong though.

I've also installed it from CD/DVD and it appears in my Origin games list, yet it still requires disc 1 in the drive to actually run Mass Effect 2, which seems a bit odd, since what's the point of linking it to Origin if it still requires the disc in the drive to run. I'd hazard a guess and say if you were to use the digital download version it wouldn't require disc 1 since it installed from the downloaded files.
About your DLC, from what I understand the DLC is linked to your Bioware/Origin account, so not the CDKEY of the game. As the DLC doesn't become available in ME2 (even if installed) until you've logged into the Cerberus Network with your Bioware/Origin account. Therefore it shouldn't matter if you use the digital download version, I'd guess it's probably tied into the CDKEY you registered for the game anyway.
