 I think we've exhausted the other theories so here is a new one.

During part of the game EDI discusses a theory that her and Liara are working in that there are multiple alternative realities and that they all exist within a bubble where physics and everything is different.

What if the Catalyst is actually changing the reality Mass Effect is in and that in an alternative reallity there are no synthetics so no Reapers to build the relays or Citadel or everything is part organic/synthetic so once again the Reapers have no reason to build the relays or the Citadel to screw over advanced organic life or a reallity where the reapers don't exist therefore the Citadel and the Mass relays can't exist as they built them.

The differen't colour blast from the relays is actually a different reallity "bubble" being created.

Either way, terrible ending but what do you all think?
