I was directed, by a moderator, to make a post about the issue here. It was considered off-topic for the general forum.

During the couple of days I have been an active member of these forums, I have seen a lot of very aggressive posts. A lot of posts have contained personal attacks and insults.

I would like more moderation of these boards. There should be higher standards of conduct as well as faster response times to breaches of good behaviour. If it's not possible with the current amount of moderators, more moderators should be assigned. At the moment, this is one of the most aggressive forums I have experience of.

For whatever reason, the modertors are doing almost nothing, I agree.  One claimed that the message volume was "too high" to do his job.  I didn't understand that, although I didn't ask for clarification.  AFAIK, that moderator has just about the max seniority possible . .

It means too many posts/minute.

If you have specific problems with a post or poster, PM a moderator with a complaint and link to sample post(s). Do not use the report function except in extreme cases. Keep in mind that moderators also have RL avatars to maintain, and that many of the moderators are actually developers who likely have much better things to do than clean up other people's mess.

If they want an "excuse" for not doing much of anything, they could pick a better one. The very worst thing going on is the constant spoilers everywhere, and only two out of however many have signed in as moderating, are doing anything in that regard, while all the rest are sitting on their hands instead.
