Lol, made the paladin stronger, made the javelin more of a beast(i love this gun), but still no real love for AR and smgs, the GPR got a weight decrease wich is nice cause it was the heaviest pee shooter in the galaxy, now a middle weight pee shooter.

Snipers: Awesome
Heavy Pistols: Awesome
Shotguns: Graal + GPS Awesome
Assault Riffles: Still ****ty. Please switch to a Carniflex dude...
SMGs: Are you serious?!

Pretty disappointing changes on the whole - mostly impact weapons that are hard or virtually impossible to get. That said, at least they're buffs rather than nerfs. It's a step in the right direction. More please.

The changes to the Falcon should make it more usable now. Its dps was first nerfed by 65% now a 30% buff. A better soldier weapon now. The paladin needed the buff since the canifax paladin different was minor before. Still hoping for a SMG buff.

sounds like someone is jelly here... Ammo for sniper (especially if you literally are able to shoot through half the map) is a non issue. Weight is not that bad with cloak mechanics. And with piercing mod you can tear everything apart (and even see them).

Oh BW, you are just glorious. First the claymore, now this with the Javelin... And there was a time where I was annoyed about pulling 3 javs and 10 claymore XD

I especially like the underlying idea that due to rarity n7 weapons are not so useless anymore (eg. lvl1 is better than lvl10 of the comparable gold weapon).

Rarity aside - the Javelin is harder to use simply based off its charge up. Widow is much, much easier to use and with the same reload speeds can, ultimately, put out rounds faster as it doesn't have to charge up. Javelin has a .5 second charge up before you fire which can lead to all kinds of...oopsy moments the Widow doesn't run into.

I'd say there on par now, though the Javelin has better meter-piercing and auto-enhanced scope so that kind of edges it out if you can compensate for the charge-up lag per-shot. I'd say there pretty damn close damage wise now though for overall amount of fire being dumped out.

Can you do anything on Gold though?  Not being a dick, but I'm using the highest difficulty and trying to measure viability per clas and weapon.  It just isn't efficient.  Awesome gun and it deserves to be used more, like a lot of weapons out there.

The Javelin is now better than the Widow at killing the heavies, on a light infantry target damage never mattered because of shield bleed both the rifles are going to 1 shot off the entire bar.

I still don't think we'll see too many Infiltrators using it though since, for me it's a 50% increase in cooldown on my TC over using my Widow III, I will no longer be able to fire every shot cloaked unless I severely slow down my firing speed.

It will be amazing for Krogan and people not caring about CDs, though.

I'm not sure. The last time I used my Krogan on Gold was with prenerf Falcon + prebuff Claymore.

I don't know how this continually goes ignored.  People might actually bring them along for fun if this was an option.  Do they even realize it doesn't work properly in MP?

The Claymore is 'amazing' even on Gold if that was your question. 200 x 8 comes out to a hell of a lot more dmg then any of the sniper rifles. Put a shredder mod onto it and it'll put out most of that dmg even to armroed targets. You can DESTROY an Atlas with a claymore just like you can with a Widow. And unlike sniper rifles, due to having multiple pellets at once it'll bypass shields in a single shot.

As an example a charged up rank 1 Graal (which does less dmg then the claymore) can 1 shot a Centurion if you pop there head up close - Claymore performs just as well, if not better. I'm talking shields and hp in 1 go.

Anyone who thinks the Claymore is fail on gold just simply hasn't really tried it. Throw it on an Infiltrator and... I mean 90% dmg boost? 290 dmg x 8? C'mon man... It's absurd, Barrel and Shredder mod that your putting out well over 3k per shot from cloak.

Well, looks like I no longer need to hope for a Paladin. While the increased damage is nice, for power-spamming classes it's now too damn heavy, especially considering getting it past level I even if you get it is highly unlikely.

I just think it puts you into a dangerous situation and one mis-shot or wrong move and you are down and a liability. I know it is useful on the Infiltrator, I'm talking the other classes.

What part of a thread called "balance changes" made you expect more fixes and less balance changes?

These are not bug fix patches. These are just BALANCE CHANGES.

More like 380x8.

That's ((200x1.25)x1.9)x8 = 3800 for dmg mod. and Tactical cloak when all pellets hit.

that another 25% from the V barrel mod. So lets go ahead and do 200 * 2.15 * 8 = 3440 <-- over 3k duder.

Ninja'ed.. And yeah if it does the barrel mod first to up base dmg that the cloak goes off its even higher as Neofelis pointed out.

Also, oops, yeah I meant 380 heheh. This also isn't counting the 15-25% weapon dmg bonus from passive mind you. If you max for that over weapon weight your doing 25% * 25% * 90%...stuff gets a bit crazy.

I simply corrected your statement (200*1.9 = 290?). I did not intend to calculate the total damage of the Claymore.
