Is there any way for my AI tactics for my pets can not be reset everytime I enter a new area? I'm getting sick of redoing my bear's AI everytime I summon him.

Yeah, when you summon your pet, in the bottom left corner it says "1 Tactic slot unlocked" and if you click on that bubble it opens up an AI screen for your pet.

You are not supposed to be able to set tactics for your pets. It sucks but it's some kind of bug on pc. More info:

They only have a single ability anyway (on the hotbar) they're not meant to be overwhelming powerhouses. Just a little bit extra dps (and in case of my current ranger character, something to pull enemies into traps with ^^)

They can have two when you become a master ranger and they can be nice ones. The one I like the best is the web ability in the spider since it mean my rogue can backstab those creatures. Yes it would be nice if they allow tactic for the pets as they are often simple enough that I don't mind turning it over to the AI.
