Hello all.
I have been fallowing all the issues with mass effect 3 and i ran into one that i haven't been able to fix. I got the N7 edition of Mass effect on the 360. Disc 1 installed fine. I then download all my bonus content. I started playing the game and it ran fine. However when i got to my first side mission where i promted me to switch discs it just locked up on the load screen. I then tryed to install the 2 disc and it got to about 44% and then said "unable to read disc". I cleaned my xbox. no change. I then installed 4 other games to see if it was my xbox. they all ran fine and installed to the hard drive fine. I then thought i had a bad disc. I went to target where i got it and they swapped out disc 2 with a normal copie. Still had the same problem. I then got ahold of EA. they had me clear my xbox cach and delete all mass effect 3 data on my xbox and reinstall it. No help. I still cant get disc 2 to work. when i boot the game with that discs it will go to the main menu but when i try to load into the game it just locks up on the laod screen. An ideas would be great. Not sure what is the source. If it is my older Xbox or if i got another bad disc which seems unlikley.

I had this problem with Dragon Age 2 and it was my Xbox hard drive going bad. Turn off your xbox and try removing your hard drive and loading up your save to see if it loads.

I will give that a try. Isnt your saved game on the hard drive though.

I tryed your suggestion. I still had problems with disc 2. I wasnt even able to boot into the main menu this time around.

I was also looking threw all 37 pages in the forums and found some other things to try such as, playing with out the hard drive, signing out of my gamer tag, removing the DLC and the avatar items, and last of course cleaning the disk. No help EA told me to do the warranty thing but i kind of all ready did that with target. still no help. I am out of ideas i have no more lol. not to happpy about it either but thats the way the cookie crumbles. any help out there would be great if there is any to be had.

Have you tried removing the patch? If not clear your cache (It also removes all other game patches :-() and restarting your console not connected to the internet. Try that to see if it isn't patch related

So this confirms that it is the disc or the disc drive. Have you tried the disc in another 360?

Ok so today i confirmed that my disc 2 works just fine. I went to my brothers house and he loaded both disc fine. on his currtent play threw he is playing on disc 2. He loaded his game and played it. no problems. So this tells me that there is some odd issues with this game and my xbox. All other games i own seem to run fine. I am not having any other problems. I had a freind who and alot of issues with Gears of war 2 and it just didnt seem to like his xbox. that was the only game he had problems with. He did end up getting the red ring thing but that was like a year later. So i my be just SOL inless i get a new xbox which would suck considering i just bought a wirless card for my xbox before skyrim came out. Thanks for all your guys ideas. we will just have to see.

Got the same problem and from what i make out of your story its that getting another disk 2 is still not solving the problem...?
