I prefered Meer to Hale for one particular reason:

I find Hale's voice acting of female shepard (note, not hale in general) incredibly dull.

Mark Meer's VA was incredibly wooden in ME1, however it was hilariously wooden and actually made some dialogue much more entertaining. It has improved over ME2 and ME3.

I think we can all agree Mark Meer is the best voice talent in the industry, such an amazing guy.

Yeah i kind of agree. I really liked her voice in the first game, but in the second game it just sounded....different. I just find her voice annoying in the second and third games. Don't know why she changed it.

Meer.
Hale.

Yeah, it isn't even close who's better. Sorry Femshep fans...

In fact, Hale's delivery of the best line in the game is absolutely horrible.

Meer likes playing superheroes in comedy skits. I guess the bravado works well with soldiers, too.

I simply prefer Meer because Hale is so overused. She was like in every cartoon I watched growing up. It's the same reason I try to avoid dubbed anime because they just recycle the same five actors.

I prefer Meer because I've heard Hale in a million other things.

That, and I thought she really over did trying to sound like a bad ass starting in ME2.

I think they are each better in certain areas and scenes. I find Meer better in the Tali ME2 quest for instance. I also think he does better in action dialogue. Hale seems more natural (better) on the Normandy, and during certain quests I'm forgetting at this moment....Oh, the scene, for instance, when in ME1 the Normandy gets 'docked" and she is sitting by the locker.... They both have their moments...

Yeah, actually both those deliveries suck, probably because that's a goofy line. It was fine in 1, buti ts inclusion here just felt like forced fanservice.

You're really using the big stupid jellyfish line?
Neither Hale or Meer get that line right. I doubt anybody could.

In ME1 and ME2 I preferred Hale but I actually think Meer gave the superior performance this time around. For some reason Hale sounded like she was whispering a lot of her lines and it came off a little strange.

He is talented, yes.
But he fails as Shepard. I'm certain it's not his fault, rather the director's demanding male blandness. But he fails all the same.

I think Meer did really well in ME3. I've never has issues with him, but he did great this time.

The one line I thought Hale really did better uncontested is "What do you want me to do?" line right before the Catalyst appears

I also remember that Mark Meer voiced a lot of the Volus as well. Amazing talent right there.
