I only read the OP, but personally it's a stereotype that isn't even funny. It's on the verge of racist almost. And I'm White, but with a military background and I grew up in a diverse neighborhood. It just wasn't done well, I imagine those who did the ending had input on this character.
Racist? Um, what?

James was fine, its the new conversation method Biowares been ramming down our throats since DA2 that sucks

I liked him... but its the stupid new dialog system imo instead of being able to have a face to face conversation with him all the time (like you could in ME1-2 ) seperated him from the random NPCs... hallf his conversations are just you clicking on him
I didn't like that either, I would have preferred the ME1 and 2 style of conversations, I am not sure why they did that.

Hey hey hey hey hey. Never get tired of it.
But I actually do think he's a good character. More to meet behind the meat.

EDIT: What I mean in Ash and Kaiden, Garrus and Tali wuld all be dead. Assuming you dont buy From Ashes, that leaves you only Liara and EDI without James. That being said, I feel the only reason they gave EDI a body was for the same reason.

To be honest, when I saw the character at first glance I thought he
would be lame but when I started playing with him, his delivery began to
grow on me. He is much more than just a meathead as I've read on these
forums. His delivery of his little quirps, and his yes's and no's were
quite entertaining. I thought he was a good addition to the game, he
was JUST a grunt, not someone with a rough past and/or a leader/high
ranking member of a prior organization/gang (atleast from what I
gathered from the game) or a briliiant scientist with philosophical
knowledge so his dialogue was natural to me.
i agree, wasnt my favorite, but i certainly would put him ahead of jacob, zaeed, and kaiden.

I have always preffered the aliens in my squad, ironically they feel much more alive and interesting. Then again, I have always been interested in other cultures and ways of life.
Bioware kinda screwed the pooch on this one IMO. They have given us WAY too much human companions. Where was our Batarian squadmate? A squadmate who generally hates you & your race, but allies with you because he sees the larger threat, would be a fascinating angle.

Why should that be a bad thing for Vega then?
He's one of the men I would actually romance tbh.

Becuase he is a Jersery Shore reject taking up the space of one of my ME 2 mates.
So having muscles and being slightly brown makes you a member of Jersey Shore now?
I think that's actaully kind of a racist comment honestly.
