I have looked everywhere I can think of, and I cannot find the key to the main hall in Redcliffe Castle.  Someone plz help!!

Is this right after the attack at nightfall? You're actually supposed to go down into the cellar from one of the siderooms on the right side of the map and then outside into the courtyard.

You need to go through the kitchen, down the stairs, out into the courtyard and then through the front door (pressuming you are doing the story quest)

ok back through the windmill? or where?

To the left of the locked door there is a room with a fireplace. After that there is a corridor with barrels etc. At the end of that is a stairway down into the celler.
