Hello,

today wanted to replay Mass Effect 1. But whenever I launch the game using the MassEffect.exe I get the following error message at the splash screen:

My CPU is a  QuadCore AMD Athlon II X4 635, 2900 MHz (14.5 x 200)
My moterboard is a MSI 770-C35/C45 (MS-7599)
My graphics card is a ASUS EAH5750
My OS is Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3

I bought Mass Effect in an orange "EA value games" box.
It worked fine before and the only things I installed since my last play through were: Origin, Mass effect 3 and a few patches for some online games.
When I try to open the configuration Utility I just get a crash message asking me if I want to send information about the crash to Microsoft.
