Doesn't seem like it. Seems like another smack in the face of the fanbase.

No, I think it means what it says... they new the ending was poop, were going to add in different endings, but I don't think the fans are clamoring for the old ones to be deleted, just at least with more explanation, conversation options to get some closure, but as far as those 3 choices that are there now... they can stay. You can't tell me that Shepard or ANYONE else who would EVER be in that position talking to an all knowing life form, basically a GOD, would NOT ask them who the hell they were, why they were doing this, etc... You wouldn't just sit there and say, well, gotta pick one now.

I think it means they held back the real ending in order to release dlc and make more money. That twitter reply says that they never said they were changing it, just adding to the ending, which implies to me that they were planning on releasing the "true ending" as dlc later, but since the fans were so outraged they were forced to release the "true ending" sooner than planned.

the reason I put "true ending" in quotes is because the ending we got was not the true end of the game. That "hidden" ending (almost spoiled it for those who haven't seen it) proves they weren't done with the end game.

Journal alone proves it. What game these days isn't incomplete when released?

It's not an incomplete game, ME3 is an ending in its own right. The way ME3 finished was purposely done in order to implement future content. It is the last game in the series, so it makes sense to have big plans for the future of ME3. I see some people are already upset at that tweet... so now we don't want a change or clarification? Is the tweet still not reliable? I guess it makes sense for them to tweet it then never deliver on it... not. This is good news, and evident after paying attention during the ending - there is more. More ME3 - GOOD!

It's funny how expansion packs were not accused of trying to make more money. DLC is basically broken down expansions, they are cheaper and easier to obtain. In the end you get as much content as you do with an expansion for roughly the same price. But it doesn't make sense to actually make sense on internet these days ;)

So this would mean that an ending DLC has been planned and is not a reaction to fan complaints? Looks like I'm going to be buying a code off eBay for a couple bucks; I'm not shelling out $10to BioWare/EA for a sleazy business practice.

Yes.

On a related topic, didn't they say they'd release DLC next year? As in 2013?

My essential problem is that people who don't have internet connectivity on their consoles are inherently screwed.

I was giving them credit, I really thought there was some innocent reason that the ending felt so wrong... But now I see it was just greed... Bad form BioWare... Bad form.

"Play as Major Coats and find out how did the squadmates got on Normandy and what is Joker doing" DLC? I could see it being a plan all along, the way they were so building up Coats in the last mission raised my eyebrow when I was playing the game. Why focus so much on a character that wasn't really needed for anything?
