Did you actually expect them to spoil any surprises they might have for us? I have to admit, they had me going at one point too until I really thought about how ME3 ended. :) Bioware is awesome. :)

Cause if I just read that, I'm going to assume that BioWare is now committed to post ending DLC.

More deflection. They're saying "we've planned DLC." Could be new multiplayer skins, for all we know.

I don't mind Bioware going out claiming preexisting conditions on us or trying to play it like fan reactions is not a cause of concern. Hell they could even go out and make a statement that everyone of us "retakers" is a paid viral marketing cmpaign for their new DLCs.
As long as they do something to restore my faith in the companies ability to produce quality in games. DA2, SWTOR and now ME3 all suffered needlessly from poor designchoices and rushed releases. They need to take stock of what they are doing or EA needs to take stock of their stocks net worth.

Good to know I paid $80 for a inco0mplete game andI will probaly have to pay $10 extra just to get the proper ending and other $10 to retake Omega that should have been int he game. Good job Bioware.

Kind of sounds like BioWare is saying that the gave us an incomplete game, with plans of selling us the ending at a later date.

I guess I could be miss reading but that what it sounds like to me.

Is anyone really surprised by this?

The whole "we totally intended that to be the real ending" thing was always a load of Krogan Dung.

It's obvious to anyone who does have their head completely up Bioware's nether region that either:

1. Endings were intentionally held back to sell as DLC
2. Bioware ran out of time against their deadline and instead of pushing back release date, decided to ship an unfished game and do #1.

I just pray nobody buys access to the actual endings. Best definition of Moral Hazard I've seen since the examples shown in the course work of my MBA school.

I may agree on ending DLC but Omega? That's like saying "I won't pay for LOTSB since it should've been in vanilla ME2". You do realize they can only create limited amount of content in a specific amount of time right? All games have stuff cut, but if it's used later in DLC like Liara's Shadow Broker arc got and Aria's Omega arc will be then I don't see a problem. Ain't different than expansion packs from back in the day

If they are releasing more stuff to give "closure" good on em but more than likely this will be pay for DLC which means were paying again for the true ending which to me is just a **** slap.

Am I reading too much into this reply?

Yes.

On a related topic, didn't they say they'd release DLC next year? As in 2013?

It's gonna take em 8+ months to release a DLC? With EA? Nah, it's releasing tommorrow, more likely.

Psh take Cortez and get the hell out of here. Getting charged to fix a half-baked ending is not an expansion.

I was not happy I had to pay $10 for LOTSB so I could continue my romance with Liara, regardless if it was good or not.

Also dlc is way diffrent then expansion packs.

Just found this comment on a YouTube video. I personally find it hilarious yet very applicable to these statements about the ending.

(Old man and kid at the ending)

KID- Tell me another story about The Shepard
MAN- Did you download the DLC?
KID - No....
MAN - Then go to bed.

My theory: indoctrination.

Nope, it's not what you think. It's not Shepard's indoctrination, it's OURS! They can't blow us away with a trick ending unless we've all accepted the crappy one. They're not going to change anything until we've become their mindless husks, and THEN they'll give us something good.

Kinda reminds me of this -

Personally, I think the devs were counting on the controversy about the ending.

Like I said, controversy brews interest, and interest sells games; or in this case, ending-explaining DLC.

Then you ain't happy you had to pay $60 to conitnue it in ME3 right? I mean seriously, they don't have unlimited time adn resources to get every single of their ideas into the game.

You know the more I see what Bioware is doing the more I'm seeing great PR at work. Over the last couple of days the story has been dying down on here and in the media and now, BANG! we have some "Information" that brings the story back into the media glare, you can bet that this will be on Kotaku and Forbes tomorrow when this thread reaches 200 pages.

Could it be that the EA PR guys are realy this good. Maybe.

or it could just be bololocks.

You're 0/2, I'm afraid.

You see, I hate the ending and I don't care about paying for dlc. Do you really want to know how much I'm willing to shell out for this particular piece, assuming it's good?

so basically when it comes to what bioware says, just think the opposite cause that ends up being what really happens? jk... not really.
so if they do the indoc. and did plan it all along, which is very possible, then most of us are gonna feel really guilty esp if its free.

Come on, we've been fooled by Bioware enough times to where we need to stop believing everything we read.
