If this was already planned, and it's not free, I can GARUNTEE you that the backlash with be 1000x stronger than it is now.

Seriously, purposly cutting the ending for making it future content is ****ing cheap as hell.

This IS EA we're talking about here. Not just Bioware. EA is pulling a lot of striings here.

They planned for post-dlc. The little pop up message kinda proves it.

As long as critics are called "self-entitled", it will only get worse. My prediction for the next big thing: MMO-style item shops in single-player games.

Well let's just wait and see what Casey has to say at PAX

The goal is to maximize sales. People will be annoyed (as I'm sure there are even people in this thread that are annoyed). You don't maximize sales by trolling the customers. Do you think this tactic is a net-positive for sales? Not from the evidence I've seen. It would be a major gambit on BioWare's part. Why would BioWare roll the dice?

despite how dao2 was critisized the mass effect series has given bioware that chance to take a big risk

Not only is it a big financial risk, it doesn't make sense from reading Ray's and Casey's statements. They were shocked by our reaction to the ending. Their tone was defensive. They never hinted there were new endings ahead.

Every Twitter I've read (which includes a few they removed) stated they were not changing the ending. That may change between now and PAX, but I think it's foolish to think they planned this from the beginning.

Well, they kinda did. not new endings but dlc that supoosed to blow our minds. maybe they were defensive because they thought we would have figured it out? (of course grasping at straws) With the theories out there and the decent evidence supporting them maybe they were shocked that we wern't talking about that first.

I miss the era where people actually cared about storylines and plots over graphics and FPS

Called it day one, i knew the game felt unfinished and the thing after the credits just hints that there would be more story yet to be told.

Not sure i bought the whole IT, but there will probably be post ending DLC which i'm fine with. I would had bought any DLC anyway since i like the game, now that it seems to actually improve on the story i'm more hyped for DLC than i would have been otherwise.

I can see why some people are gonna be outraged tough, cause this will most likely cost money. But there will always be GOTY edition or probably some collection with all 3 games and all DLC coming later, so you could always wait.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a new ending DLC precedent if it were free. Wouldn't it help curb piracy a bit due to Origin? Give pirates a horrible experience and allow those obtaining the game legitimately to have the enjoyable version?

As Leonardo once said, "Art is never finished, only abandoned."

Aw, hell, who am I kidding. Bioware have done wrong, and they seem to know that because they deleted the comment. **** you Bioware. **** you rEApers.

Anyone have a screenshot of the tweet in the OP? Bioware has already deleted it.

Here are the two I saw:

"hope you guys have some epic happy post ending dlc planned. finished the game today. That can't be the end for shep and friends"
"We have DLC planned, but we haven't released specific details about it yet."

"did you feel pressured to change the ending, isn't it important to stick to your guns on some things?"
"We never said we were changing it :) We have ALWAYS had big plans for ME3. It isn't a response-It's been in the works"

Yup, someone is deleting tweets. Is that a good sign?

So basically Bioware has nothing planned to address the massive negative feedback about the ending?

Heh, BioWare is painting a pretty picture of a hot woman in a skirt. Unfortunately, when the woman lifts up her skirt, it's actually a dude.

I really hope BioWare fixes the ending. None of this "clarify" BS.

Again, this doesn't say anything about pre-planned DLC pertaining to the ending.
These still are deliberately vague statements that can be misconstrued as meaning we are getting the endings Shepard and her companions deserve.

dont be fooled.  HOLD THE LINE!

This is exactly why ME3 is my last EA game.

I only played ME3 because I'd invested 100's of hours in the previous games... I'll wait on a DLC verdict until after the fans have a chance to comment to decide if EA get a couple more of my $$$... BUT if the "closure" DLC is paid... I'll be finished with them immediately.

I lol'd  =]  thx for that!

And yeah I really hope they fix it. Whether that means through indoctrination theory and massive dlc or with a wand that shoots turtles that fight Thorian creepers, hell I dont care. Just fix it.:crying:

No problem. I wish I didn't have PG-13 contraints on my language. I just appreciate your efforts in the Relays Were Destroyed thread.

Thankfully, you can still enjoy the product of those days.

Too bad there aren't more games like this nowadays.
