Oh my god. You are the most difficult person I have ever had the displeasure of talking to.

My initial post to you?

Simply to say that they made an announcement about the ending a week ago. How in the bloody freakin' hell did you manage to drag it to this?

This is the first time in a very long time that I have become so agitated in a forum discussion. Good job.

u mad now?

im not aggitated, just wondering why you are still talking directly at me even though you even said you were just stating random info that had nothing to do with me in a quote.

was i not supposed to respond to you quoting me?

I dont understand. but whatever.

Uhm, that's what agitated means.

Yes, you don't understand.

You said to be happy with the announcement.

I clarified and said that an announcement was made much earlier than the one you were talking about. What the hell did you even read in my post?

Only to a few people. Not all fans pour over every twitter response and analyze it. Just be patient and wait to see what the official announcement is. THEN complaining about them making it worse may be a little more applicable to the more general fanbase.

Why must you crush our hopes and dreams? Even if we were wrong, why not let us delude ourselves with our fantasy. We'd be happier that way :(

Sorry if this has been posted, but I just had a right place right time moment on the Mass Effect twitter feed.

@masseffect @PatrickWeekes did you feel pressured to change the ending, Isn't it important to stick to your guns on some things?

@satootaku We never said we were changing it :) We have ALWAYS had big plans for ME3. It isn't a response-It's been in the works

I don't twitter. What am I supposed to be seeing here?

it doesn't matter anymore Priestly came in and muddied it all up again.

But wasn't that comment directly in response to an ending DLC? so it was just a somewhat lazy form of deflection then?

We all know it's the Indoctrination theory, there can be no other reasonable explanation for how the game went from completely amazing to completely terrible in the last ten minutes.

Other reasons include 1) It(the game itself) was rushed 2) Written in a way to sacrifice coherency in order to make the writer's job easier for the next game, IE future proofing while destroying the current trilogy.

Neither of those excuses are reasonable. Tell EA to screw off, set up your own publishing arm if you need to. Bioware is starting to make decent money, I believe in you guys, I buy all your dlc, and would help along with millions of others to support you guys financially.

Therefore it must be indoctrination theory.

Patrick was specifically addressing a tweet about the endings. Now you are saying it had nothing to do with endings?

I wouldn't be surprised if all mass effect twitter accounts stop responding to anything ending related until the announcement in april. Or just respond with a generic "wait until our announcement in April to see." Every response to something about the ending is getting blown way out of proportion.

And what about the twitters of "we can't say spoilers right now"...how we are supposed to get that?

I just can't believe that you thought that was a good ending, AND saying "hopefull" thing on twitter for just crashing it down 1 second later.

Chris,

Why don't you guys just come out and say it's not Indoctrination, if it's not Indoctrination. If it is, well then I would understand not saying anything about it (for twist sake). ;)

I just feel like, if the ending is NOT that, then why not just tell people it isn't. There is no reason to not clarify that. Plus, if you guys are standing by the ending you presented us, then it would be a bit better if you just said: Star Child is the ending, it's not a hallucination.

THIS is what I've been telling people. Keep the hope alive! Bioware is not planning on sticking it to their fans. There's nothing to change because we haven't seen the ending yet. My opinion, I know. It's just that I've been following them a lot on Twitter and this is what they have led me to believe.

Thanks for that, now I have the mental image akin to this of everyone who spends their time in the twitter threads.

Bioware if you're reading this....just be sure to inform your leaders that any kind of DLC announcement that doesn't solve the endings problems is not going to sell that well.

"f your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them.
