But I do know that out of all the gaming companies out there ... Bioware just might be able to pull it off ... they have some of the best story writers in the gaming industry. I'm hoping to be happily suprised
An "I told you so" moment for many (perhaps? no -.-)

Come on ... The ending was intentionally left ambiguous so more could be unlocked later through DLC's. Whether it be Indoc Theory, Ultimate rainbow win, supermega grimdark, ride off into the sunset (then get shot by Marauder Shields because you didn't actually kill him), or more space magic...
It kinda backfired on them though, but I think the original plan was to sucker us all back in every three or four months with another DLC. Of course they won't change the endings, they'll just add more.
Think about it for a minute, they can add more war assets, enlarging the pool. They can tweak how the endings play out depending on your EMS - ultimate fail grimdark could be the new "just on the line" of EMS, and the super happy, high-five, brofist, Corona on the beach ending could eventually be achieved with a 20,000 EMS (with a healthy dose of reputation and in game choices)...
With EA, anything is possible...
If so, being nickel-dimed will never feel so good. I am fine with being a red-headed stepchild this once if I can get a proper ending.

You play as Joker, and you're tasked with pointing at the things you want the crew to forage. Three exciting hours of gameplay.

Unless I am wrong or Patrick misspoke, this is the first time Bioware has said that the ending to the current game is not the real ending, or that a real ending was in the works.

If this is the case then this would be the last Bioware product I buy. I'm of the mind that if you sell me a story, I shouldn't have to pay more money to get the 'best' ending. Nor should I have to pay more money to get a 'proper' ending.
But then, I've always said with the ending that in my case, the choice is between my goodwill for future purchases and my money now. If they choose my money now, well then I'll just have to say "goodbye and thanks for all the fish."

also, we got a 30-40 hour game for 60 bucks. it had an ending. it just didnt have an ending we liked. they may be making dlc that addresses our concerns.
it is entirely possible that this is the ending they intended, then this backlash about the ending started, so they decided to release dlc that addresses the endings.
its like people are going to complain no matter what they do

Yeah, I agree! We are all pissed off about the plot holes and etc...but let's have a little faith people. I had my doubts before, but I do think Bioware is gonna pull a rabbit off the hat.

They have people whose jobs mean they have to predict backlashes like this. Why would they do this if they had foreseen the amount of outrage towards the ending? Only explanation is that they though people would like it and be satisfied with it. Seeing how bad the reaction has been I think they would have told us already whether this was planned.
Even if this was a big plan, they handled it so horribly I don't think i'm going to come back to Bioware, if that's the case.

Ok so i am playing devils advocate here but if that twitter response is indicating there was a master plan all along then why not just make a statement to that fact?
IMHO that twitter response suggests to me that the above qoute from Dr Ray Muzyka's response to the community is yet more exagerated PR speak to appease the fans, or as i like to think of it, lies.
I am not saying the statement to address the endings is false, it just seems to me the twitter comment suggests they always planned something around the endings. That being the case why not simply say that?
I am fairly sure at some point Bioware hired Alistair Campbell (need to be in the UK to appreciate that one)

If it is a new or extended endding it (doubt it) and they had it planed from the start it is even worse then having just a bad endding because it means they always wanted to charge us even more for what we should have gotten already.
