These can be very easily forged.

They aren't forged, they're simply pre-ending stuff. I got them too. But it's because the game takes you back to before the last missions.

huh?  So in what context does Shepard get these messages?

You do realize that that is PRE ENDING dialogue. The game takes you back to before the last mission. Nice facts there.

How in the world would that make sense in that context? Before the ending Kaiden can only be seperated if he is on another ship and it wouldn't make sense to say this if he is on the same ship as Shepard. Besides, what matters is not where the end game drops you off (maybe it does it so you can redo the ending and choose differently - for example), it matters whether this message would show up ONLY after you beat the game or if it can be caused by other parameters.

Can someone explain the timing of this message and whether others show up like it from other characters?

Personally Im worried BW will just go ahead with their original dlc plans and not truly address our complaints.
Even if we are a minority we control a lot of money, and provide a positive word of mouth. I
bought the dragon age games based on my opinion of mass effect. ME3 has already led.me to.discourage a friend from purchasing it until the bundle edition comes out.

Sounds awesome. I somwere hoped that they had more planned for the game. So if thats the case, and they add more to ending, thats great. If it was planned, it would be probaly the ballsiet move in gaming history. Right or wrong?? Thats another topic. But, im feeling quite happy now. I have small hope, cautios but it´s there. Thanks for the post!

Basically that Kaidan wants to see you. Just a random generated message, like most of them. It doesn't have any hidden meaning behind them.

It's random babble. You get random messages from everyone at some point. My husband got a random one from Liara that was pre-ending after he finished the game. There's no hidden "This is proof!" stuff. The game reverts you back x-amount of time.

Well thanks for raining on my parade.  Seriously.  Thank you.  I'd rather be well informed and depressed than misinformed and unspeakably happy.

Does that make me weird?

Regarding the original post...

First off, I am unable to find the tweet from Mass Effect originally mentioned. Perhaps it is because I am a fuddy duddy and am unfamiliar with Twitter. If someone could link to that tweet, I'd be appreciative.

Assuming it's legit, this statement is unsurprising to me. If Bioware has determined that there is a large enough rift between them and their fans that they do actually need to produce new content to address the endings, then it seems perfectly logical they would spin it as "we had this planned the whole time." I mean, no one wants to look like they were caught with their pants around their ankles.

If they don't release additional content soon, (ie something about the ending, a new one, an addon explanation, indoctrination theory etc etc etc with some added game play) then they lose two customers...the wife agrees with me on this one. She even played all that dragon age nonsense and said bioware is slipping...I really hope they we get additional content soon. I love the franchise, I love the series and almost all of the characters. I want to see more games, books, comics, movies whatever! I just don't want to see the Mass Effect Universe die...

There's trolls in this forum trying to marginalize us, but me and my wife are just like you. We want better and so do my friends and extended family members who are not part of the vocal 9% that Jessica Merizan refers to. Look at just one CNet poll http://news.cnet.com...fect-3s-ending/
Out of over 19,000 people voting, 83% Are totally disatisfied with the ending. Those are likely future customers that might reconsider buying another product of Bioware's in the future. You can't dismiss it or ignore it.

Exactly, when you ****** off the fans they stop buying your products. But wait, maybe we all jumped this banwagon to early, maybe BioWare wants us to all freak out about the ending blowing head-gaskets left and right and just when the madness and anger over the game peek,...."introducing the NEW DLC"
...and I'll buy it, I bet you will too and if that fails just as hard, it will definitely be the last BioWare product I buy.

No, not weird. Its normal to want to know the truth instead of being lied to.

I really think they have plans for a new series whatever it is. The endings are set in stone. They won't change. They sacrificed the ME trilogy with the same ending so they can easily start the new one.

Regardless of who gets to say "I told you so....", If they had the real endings ready to go as DLC you have to pay for.....wow. That's pretty ****ing low IMO. If this is the case, hate to say it but not buying it, or any other Bioware game....Somewhere Minsc is crying

I agree.  I think they want to milk the series, which is why they didn't give us the self-contained trilogy they originally intended (and we originally expected).

So you guys are planing to try and find a way to make the existing ending work...? Good luck with that.

Or you're just not gonna do anything. Gotta be honest, I don't think that DLC is gonna sell like it did before. It's your choice, it's your game, it's been great so far, but I just can't deal with this anymore.

Personally I'm waiting for their official plans coming in April before I swear off the series.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure 85% of the people swearing not to buy DLC will buy it and just not tell anyone.

That being said, I'll be buying the DLC, no matter what it is (well, maybe not gun/armor packs, but I never buy those in any game)

I wouldn't purchase that... This was supposed to be "the epic conclusion" of a story not the "epic continuation into a new story". I don't want a cliff hanger - just not interested in that. I *would* be interested in new adventures in the ME universe if this story actually ended and they had saved all the "story starter" material for the beginning of the next game. I would have totally been on board with that. The ending, as is, makes me lose interest in the Mass Effect universe. Thinking positive though: Hopefully they will fix this! April is coming soon! :wizard:

People are reading the wrong thing into this. We have always had DLC plans for ME3. We said so long before launch. This is not news as ME and ME2 had DLCs.

This is not a comment about "endings" DLC, just DLC in general.

Yes, thank you Chris, for jerking us from the "hopeful" stage back to the "confused, upset and angry" stage.

It is so... nice of you.
