Come on ...  The ending was intentionally left ambiguous so more could be unlocked later through DLC's.  Whether it be Indoc Theory, Ultimate rainbow win, supermega grimdark, ride off into the sunset (then get shot by Marauder Shields because you didn't actually kill him), or more space magic...

So let me get this straight, you endorse the prospect that they released an incomplete game for the sole purpose of later completing it with  DLC which would potentially and probably be paid release?
Wow.

They don't deserve our money for this behaviour. Maybe you like being abused, I don't.

If I wanted this sort of treatment I would walk into the rough part of town with my money hanging out of my pockets and being abnoxious to everyone.

More and more I'm starting to think they did have something in the works, but ran out of time so hoped the ending we have would stand on its own merits.

Otherwise... they've basically burned the fanbase but are waiting to apply the salve.

It had better be some good salve.

A damn good salve and a bottle of whiskey. Its going to take alot to make me forget this crap they pulled.

If all they are doing is adding, then I'm not going to be buying bioware games on pre-order. Wait to see if its ACTUALLY FINISHED.

And its gonna have to be a damn good epilogue to get me to buy any DLC. This game is tainted by the ending.

i think we are over analyzing that comment

But it's multiple tweets in direct response to people that have questions about ending DLC.

Either this person doesn't understand the implications of his tweets(aka illeterate) or has just thrown out a few big hints as to whats going on.

The tweet was in direct response to someone asking if they felt pressured to change the endings. The response was that they aren't changing anything and had something in the works since before the outrage. That seems significant to me, but the ME twitter has been unreliable before.

It's really hard to know what to think at this point honestly. Going by the "official" responses, I would say there is no chance they're changing anything. Going by the dev's twitters though I would say it's a certain fact that they've got something planned for the ending.

It's like a good cop/bad cop scenario. SO CONFUSING.

I can't wait for the new "Real Ending" DLC that'll cost 14.99 + EA's DLC tax.

Whoopie. Gaming is going down a very stupid and very dark road, and **** like this is why.

So it's not ok to change an ending because it's art, but it's ok to sell an half-finished ending because you think you can get more money that way ?

Make up your mind Bioware, your game is either art and should be self concluding, or a product and then you don't get to hide yourself behind ready made excuses like "artistic license" when consumers smell a rat.

I hope every single one of the Indoc. theorists and "the ending is not complete" people get to say "I told you so" in April. Really. Because there would be nothing cooler than the unreliable narrator take on the ending and it would make everything make sense in the world again. Even so, call me Thomas the doubter, but I will wait until I see it.

Fans didn't make up the indoctrination theory - they just put the pieces together, which were already there - in game. THE SIGNS GUYS, the signs... WE were meant to figure it out. And now... the final battle is coming... we will hold the line.

No matter how many hints they throw, some people not going to be satisfied until they see the smoking gun. I get that but for me, with all the other stuff, I am pretty damn satisfied that theres going to be a substantial ending to the trilogy.

Whether I like the fact that the ending is not on the disc, is another matter for another day.

I had a hunch that Bioware may have done something really stupid. And that something is maybe they've planned all along to release tiny-explainations in each single future DLC that elaborate upon ME3's ending. If they did that... wow Bioware, just wow. I hope I'm wrong

that tweet does not confirm the "planned real ending" theory. i wouldnt go nuts yet people. i wouldnt go nuts at all. they COULD just ignore us and not release a damn thing except multiplayer packs if we want to complain about everything

if they decide to charge for new ending dlc (if they even make it) just swallow your pride and buy it. at least you will get more gameplay and a better ending to mass effect.

you will not get anything for free

Glad I'm not the only sane person in this thread. I can't believe some of you are saying "GG BIOWARE FAITH RESTORED", over a tweet? It really is like seeing an abused person run back to the abuser.  If Bioware thought the ending was great, and made a huge mistake, that's one thing. If they intentionally released an incomplete product, and then release the 'real end finishing touches' as paid dlc, that's a whole other can of worms. And you must be out of your mind if you think that's a great plan.

They didn't say they were fixing the ending. They didn't say anything at all concrete in regard to the issues raised. We all knew they would release DLC - it was the last two words in the game, after all.

I've heard that changing endings would be setting a dangerous precedent, even if it has been done before.

What's never been before is selling a game with an incomplete ending. Buying DLC to finally conclude what *should* be self-concluding is the real dangerous precedent here.
