Come on ... The ending was intentionally left ambiguous so more could be unlocked later through DLC's. Whether it be Indoc Theory, Ultimate rainbow win, supermega grimdark, ride off into the sunset (then get shot by Marauder Shields because you didn't actually kill him), or more space magic...
So let me get this straight, you endorse the prospect that they released an incomplete game for the sole purpose of later completing it with DLC which would potentially and probably be paid release?
Wow.
They don't deserve our money for this behaviour. Maybe you like being abused, I don't.
If I wanted this sort of treatment I would walk into the rough part of town with my money hanging out of my pockets and being abnoxious to everyone.
-Replace Kalisah with your wallet.
No, I don't endorse it. Especially if it costs us. Read the whole post.
Believe me, I'd go back to raging if they're scamming our cash for an ending.
Oh I read the whole post. Nothing has been confirmed from it either. Javik on your disc, yeah, cool story. That'll be $10, insulting the fans and calling them "entitled" in a perogative sense. Aye, you buy that.?
An apology for deceiving the audience and compensation would be great. After all, they already have our money. The money entrusted in good faith to deliver on promises made to their consumers.

All I'm reading is that the "additional content" was always intended, not "new endings" were always intended. I can definitely see why it could be interpreted otherwise, but that just doesn't compute with much of what we've already been told.
Why would Ray Muzyka bother with his official response if they'd always intended a different ending? They could've played coy, with winks and teases, all this time, leading on an excited fanbase. Instead, they've been giving off an understandable aura of deflated disappointment that their hard work fell flat.
I want to believe more is in store. Maybe more will come. I certainly hope so. No company would willingly take the abuse they've taken though, as a publicity stunt, or whatnot. Amazon played returns of their game! That is not good, in case you're wondering.
We'll see what happens. I'll remain skeptical until proven wrong. I'll gladly take a thousand "I told you so" from you guys if I'm wrong. I really hope I am, my friends.
And i will give a thousand "i told you so" to those who returned their games. If this turns out to be true.
I'd thrown up the theory from the beginning and a lot agreed -
BW planned this - they wanted to polarise the gamers with the ending - they didn't count on a couple things
One - they didn't bring the Ipad app to android or windows - complete waste of good PR machine - 1% of the gamers may have Ipad but 99% would have android and windows along with apple.
Two - they didn't expect people to beat the game that fast - not sure why but they weren't prepaired for how many beat it.......
Three - they were prepaired for some backlast - the the majority that hates the ending and banding together. They wanted to not only inoctrinate Shepard - but us also - the clues were there.......but PR failed biggest reason - the App
It had messages from LI and others after you beat the game hinting you were in the hospital. Perfect way to turn this from being a PR nightmare into; insane but brillante campaign.
Thus we have what we have - I also think the ending DLC was planned to be free from the beginning too...but its all theory so far

To be honest, if they do come out with post-end DLC, I don't see how they could ever claim that it was pre-planned. They killed the protagonist, let half the NPCs we cared about get murdered offscreen, and stranded everyone else in the galaxy. I don't really see where you can go from there.

I'd be annoyed at them if DLC was the plan the entire time because why didn't they just say that a week ago and get it over with.
This is why I think they have been so tight-lipped

I have never been able to get that damn iPhone app to work. The emails from the LI sound cool. I hope you guys are right. Many of you have hung tough all along. It would be cool to see you vindicated.

I don't care if they try to pass it off as their idea all along, all I care about is that we get an ending that does justice to the series.

They can go backwards, or they can go to hell.
Even Bioware can't "expand" their way out of rendering the entire first game a plot hole, amongst other things. <_<

And whatever they SAID they were doing in response to the fans' reaction to the ending was apparently a lie. Or this is. Because what he just said is that they're NOT doing anything in response to the fans, only what they've always planned.
Dear Bioware -- please get your story straight. I can't tell which one of your falsehoods is true anymore.

Getting fans worked up about the ending and then revealing that it's not the end will make people feel stupid and manipulated. And then you'll get some fans telling others, "I told you so," which will descend very quickly into a troll fest. Yes, it would be "clever," and it might even be a good ending. But it would be a bad move. If that was their move, it's too late. They just need to be prepared for getting bitten in the ass a second time.

So, he says "We never said we were chaning the ending" ... which doesn't necessarily mean they're not, just that they never said they were. Still, I would guess 'not'.

Bioware never said they were releasing content as a response to the fans ever. They said they were listening to feedback and constructive criticism. I am assuming that we, the fan base, will see some of this feedback come to fruition in the post game DLC.

Cheap digs while missing the point? Check.
If you read what I wrote, you'll see the distinction I am making is not what they are doing, but why they said they are doing it.
One statement implied it was in response to fan complaints.
This statement said they're not doing the new content in response to fans, they've always had this planned.
So one is true, and one is not. And if they're not doing this new content in response to fan complaints, then I guess they always meant to clarify the endings.

Exactly... and almost everyone will buy this DLC with no doubt... screaming like "OH MAH GOD, DLC!!!! LETS PAY FOR IT BECAUSE WE ARE RETARDS!!! WE DON'T CARE IF WE ALREADY BOUGHT THE GAME, WE'LL SUPPORT EA/BW BECAUSE WE LICKS THEIR ASSES".
I'm done with this forum, seriously... bunch of non-sense ****heads.
