The most annoying thing about Allers is that after I dumped her unceremoniously off my ship I inexplicably lost the use of that room! What the hell? What did she do glue the door shut? I could have kept Grunt in there! Or made a giant playground for my space hamster!

She was a minor character, not in the way at all. Some of her lines were actually pretty funny. There was no "romance," you could bang Allers probably because some designer lusts after Chobot... can't blame him there.

Really, I don't get all the hate. If you don't like her, just don't go talk to her. Problem solved.

I have to say that I also found her pretty easy to ignore.  Different strokes, and all that, I guess.

It's easier for the designers to just close off a door rather than make a whole new model for the room (and possibly level, depending on how the map is put together) based on whether or not there's a person living there.

It's the same reason Javik's door is closed at the start.

i didnt really 'get' her role at all. Seems like she was just there as an additional sex option for Shepard really.

So what if she can influence the opinion of the public? You dont even realize it anyways, you dont get to see the results before or after the end.

Come on people I can understand not liking the character she played ( should have been wong all along that played this part in the game ), but can we at least show some respect towards the women who played her.

I've seen some of your posts, and I am impressed by how well you play the role.

Which is to say, play the role of an intelligent forum-goer and Mass Effect fan in the early 21st century.  Not every scientist salarian could do that.

Oh joy - a thread devoted to bashing a character someone doesn't like! I didn't think her VA work was great and didn't find her particularly interesting, but I don't think she was as horrible as you make her out to be. I've heard worse VA before - Geralt and Triss come to mind (the English-language VAs specifically).

The fact that they spent time and resources in modeling her face into the game (and utterly fail at it) instead of using Al-Jilani or Wong and spend that time to try and produce a decent face for Tali is what ourage me.
The fact that she is a nobody from IGN it's indifferent to me. I didn't even know what IGN was before ME3.

Agreed.  I think the (largely understandable) anger over the ending has spilled over into things that don't really call for such aggression.

I couldn't figure out why we needed a third reporter in the ME universe. Actually, couldn't I hire al-Jilani and punch Allers? Or even better, hire Wong and let Allers die off screen. For that I'd let al-Jilani punch me in the face.
