Fact: Give me back Zaeed. At least his stories were genuine and fascinating to listen to.

Who gives a damn about a character that is simply for some flavor and that barely adds anything to the game?

That's sort of a big part of the problem, is it not? She's useless, even for war assets. So why have her at all?

And War Assets didn't mean all that much as it turns out either, so absolutely.

Chobot wasn't the problem.  She was certainly meh and rendered horribly if you ask me.  But, in the end, she was just a victim of a PR stunt begun with Felicia Day in whatever that DLC was for DA2.  Pretty much sums up a BW developmental trend:  PR stunts and attempts at being "trendy," over substance and content. Jessica is just an easy target for those who feel disenfranchised.

I would have much rather had MAJ Kurahee coordinating STG efforts or Gianna Parasini working security stuff, or Kal Reegar just being...well...Kal Reegar, if we had to have new shipmates.  Could've had Zaeed or Jack just being their badass selves or Miranda (perhaps the most overall useful squadmate other than Garrus).  But no, we got Jessica Chobot, whose sole purpose it seems was to merely to add to my burden of trying to figure out what the hell is going on over there at Bioware.

In the end, it really didn't matter who occupied that room.  Just wish it could have been a friendly face who might have made the "journey" to that terrible ending more bearable.

Amen to that.  Really wanted Zaeed to have a larger role and real in-ship dialogue and interaction with Shep.  Not to mention, I pretty much carried him everywhere in ME2.

EDIT: And that Inferno Grenade...yeah, I used it more than once or twice.

All good points, and I definitely agree on Felicia Day. Although I think what bugged me most about that one was just the fact that they modeled the character to look just like her. If she looked like a character that fit into the world and didn't just scream "I'm playing a videogame" everytime I looked at her, I probably wouldn't have minded nearly as much.

I let her on my ship to give her a chance but her voice acting is deplorable.

Huh, I told her to screw off as soon as I saw her.

I fail to see the reason for nastiness - you do not HAVE to keep her on board. She is an asset. You get final approval on her stories, and you can boot her anytime.

I think she did a good job. Her addition to the Mass Effect Universe was not unwelcomed. If you don't want her, then don't take her.

Why all the hate?

Probably less than the amount we have about the endings.

Resentment, I suspect, because she replaced the more obvious choices of Emily Wong and Khalisah Al-Jilani. Which annoys me too.

Also, the Talimancers. They made a unique model for Allers, and didn't bother to give Tali anything more than a badly photoshopped image. Actually I'm somewhat indifferent to Tali and that irritates even me.

If any Bioware devs are reading this, I will pay for DLC that allows me to shoot, stab, space, or otherwise brutally execute Diana Allers.

Fact: I HONESTLY thought there was something wrong with the audio when she started talking. Then I realize, nope. She really does sound that wooden and bored as she obviously reads her lines with so little enthusiasm that Elcor are telling her to put more inflection into her droning.

After my playthrough I only have two questions for Chobot:

1. How big was Shep?

2. And how good was he?

Outraging character is outraging.

I suppose so.
As an aside, did anyone else who didn't know who she was before this think that "Chobot" was some sort of Japanese anime that people kept referring to for some reason?

To be hoinest, I playe dthe game, talked with the annoying Chobot... and only after Thessia I  got to know who she was... and.. not impressed.

Yes.. I was completely ignorant who Chobot was... and yeah it soudns kinda like a weird anime... maybe hentai

Fact: Her character would have been OK if she was portrayed by someone with voice acting experience, and if her character model had less uncanny valley-ness going on.

This one has limited experience with the varied human phenotypes, and incorrectly assumed that bright orange was a natural human skin tone based upon the inquisitive Ms. Allers' appearance.

Her voice acting is physically painful to listen to, actually causing me to cringe as she speaks.

Great, now there will be even more vanguards commiting "suicide by Banshee".

Except intentionally.
