why u no like tali bioware y u put so much effort into her but none into her? Tali is awesome and she is staple charecter thru all 3 games what did chobt do to even deserve a brief appearence huh? She didnt do anything, bioware needs to quit pandering to stupid video game websites it makes them look disgustly weak and needy not something a company needs. And IGN should have denied to do a game rating because of conflict of interst its called integrity, reviewers need learn it and they need to do it quick. Why not emily huh, why did you kill her off, off screen no less. was it even mentioned in game.

I'm inclined to give Chobot a break; given her already stable occupation doing... whatever it is she does, I think that the decision to put her in the game was made by someone other than the writers/Caroline Livingston (director of the voice actors), who would otherwise have jurisdiction over which voice actor gets what part. We all think Chobot sounds terrible because she's standing alongside the likes of Jennifer Hale, Raphael Sbarge, Lance Hendriksson and many other legends of voice acting and/or regular acting.
Chobot is inexperienced, certainly, and it shows in the way Allers speaks, but is that sufficient grounds for us to call her names and decide that she must have plied her charms to get the part?
I think, and hope, not. Let's just give her a break, and hope that she found voicing Allers to be as annoying as we did, and consequently decides never to put her voice into a video game ever again.

As an aside, did anyone else who didn't know who she was before this think that "Chobot" was some sort of Japanese anime that people kept referring to for some reason?

I thought it was a mixture of someone's actual last name and 'robot' since her VA was so wooden.

She's just a cheap way to advertise within games.

I don't visit the 'corrupt' (since the game advertising pays their salary) websites like IGN and Gamespot, so I only see Allers for what she is: A nice addition to the crew that gives you the possibility to out yourself in the media. And to look at some nicely modelled ass.
If you're a regular visitor of these websites, I understand your outrage though; especially in the last few day's their journalists have proven to be increasingly daft and stupid in their defending of this game, even showing hints of having a Jesus syndrome (looking at you, Van Ord).

While I think there could have been better alternatives, overall Chobot doesnt really bother me. If you don't like her don't put her on your ship. Its as easy as that.

I don't hate Chobot. I had no clue who she was and her argument for getting on the ship was weak. However, I let her go and didn't interact with her. Didn't even know where she was until I accidently came across her in one of my ship board rounds.

That was possibly the most annoying voice in the game.

I thought, we will have somethink like reality showcast in the end after titles... like a documental short film how she made an interview with common crew before the last battle, like what they was feeling or thinking about what happening or will happen. Just imagen, the common crew guy somewhere in engineering, clearing shattle's engine and she asking him about what he is think on camera. He takes a breath and tell her about how he want to see his family and waits when it will be over... But... in fact, useless character she is...

This is some ugly chick ,and freaking irritating voice ,we rather had javik instead of this annoying creature.at least javik is funny arrogant too but mostly funny and we can use him in fights unlock this ugly thing with the fat cheecks and the button like eyes.

I actually liked that they didn't do fanservice and put in a really ordinairy, almost ugly, character into the franchise. Then I realized they just botched the face capture.

We get it. She's not a voice actor. Her voice acting isn't good. Her character model looks off. She arguably had no business being in the game. Done, dusted, finito.

I don't really have a problem with Allers. While she is clearly badly implemented across the board, that's BioWare's fault, not Chobot's. I think the idea behind her character, an imbedded reporter acting as a stand-in for the way the Alliance press would be acting Galaxy-wide could have been very interesting. But, like much of the game, this just ends up feeling rushed and/or "throw away"'.

In any case, I have to say I thought the twitters with Wong leading up to release were one of the gems of ME3's stories. Perhaps not quite on the level of Mordin's sacrifice, as an example, but poignant and emotional none the less. I wouldn't want to lose that just to have her as a poorly implemented non-entity standing in a room I never visit.

I don't even know who she is IRL. In all honesty, I don't like some characters and some romances you can do, but as long as I can, y'know, chose not to freaking do them I could not care less.

If I could chose to get a good ending without the Star Child and with closure and proper writing, I would've never uttered a negative word about it.
I understand the IGN hate is going nuts on the forum, but why are you watching anything IGN puts out? I've visited their site once, worked out it was complete bull in less than 10 minutes, and never returned.

I had never heard of Chobot and when Diana came up to me in Citadel I refused her joining my ship because of the horrible voice acting. I don't hate her (VA) for it, but she was out of place in this game.
