What about that whole I got with someone else part in his e-mail?

I think it's fair to move on without telling him at that point.

ME1 to ME2, you've been dead two years and your VS LI basically tells you to get bent on Horizon and abandons you to fight alone in a life-or-death mission. That's a relationship over indicator in my eyes if I ever saw one.

---

That video with the Tali-squadmate banter on the geth dreadnought is fantastic, lol.

Ashley: "Congratulations on your big-girl name"
Tali: "Thanks. It's so nice of you to actually help Shepard this time."

Again, two people can walk away from each other, take some time to cool off. But if you go off and sleep with someone because you had a fight, that's cheating.

It really depends how you RP your Shepard. Shepard was 'dead' for two years, and Kaidan moved on to some doctor, or at least tried to.  Kaidan refuses to join Shepard, or even allow her to explain herself, and needs to be reminded several times in ME3.

By the time Shepard gets to see the VS again in ME3, there is no way a relationship is intact at that point, unless you specifically RP your Shepard to wait for him/her. Edit: Even then, the achievement is labeled as rekindling a romance, which implies it stopped at some point.  Probably that pesky dead thing, again.

Umm... Shepard didn't walk away. He died.

Nope, it's still not a 'relationship over'. Again, this is BioWare's fault for not including the option to reply to emails in ME2, or even DO anything with the VS in ME2. Personally, I'm still ticked off that they got treated in this manner, but the great role the VS had in ME3 alleviates that somewhat.

Ashley died on Virmire because a) she was a xenophobic small-minded ****y zealot and B) she was useless and annoying.

So, I have no idea what you're talking about :)

Ah yes, "xenophobe", we have dismissed that claim.

"Look at the size of that thing, it could put a round through any ship in the Alliance fleet!"

"You should go talk to her, she's probably hurting over her Mom died."

"I feel sorry for her, no one should have to feel like they're not good enough."

"Hey, Tali's like a little sister to me."

Tali: Hey, Lieutenant Commander.
Ashley: Come on Tali, we don't need to use rank, call me Ash.

Case closed.

Ashley is not a zealot for believing in a Higher Power, nor was she xenophobic for being cautious around aliens because she wasn't used to them.

Woohoo, back to the old Ashley hating already. Haha, way to go, BSN.

I thought that the "Let's consider this a fresh start for both of us" - line when talking to Ash was a good one.

It is what it is of course, but that could be interpreted as a "break-up" line.

I love both Ashley and Tali but Ms. Williams got owned there. I was laughing when I saw the video.

Indeed.  Ash wasn't a zealot just for being religious.  The people who hate her, at least partly, because she's religious on the other hand...

And calling her a xenophobe is just... a level of ridiculous that makes me feel dumber just for talking about.

If you call her a xenophobic then you completely don't know Ashley. So sad. Unfortunately most people who don't like Ash are just haters. Ah, well.

I wonder if Kaidan gets as bitter as Ashley does? My Shepard pursued no romance in ME3, despite uncomfortable assumptions that a certain Drell and VS made >_>, so all I really saw was friendly dialogue from both.

Maybe girls just get more jealous, who knows?

I didn't like Ashley. In ME1 I found her narrow minded and bigoted, and got tired of her impromptu poetry recitals and family diatribes. I didn't like her any better in ME2 after she snubbed me on Horizon. And while she may have found a completely new face, I didn't find her constant nagging about cerberus any more palatable in ME3. If her attitude is the best humanity can muster I'm perfectly content chasing blue tail across the galaxy.

Aye, I actually really like Ashley but damn did she get owned there. Tali has a lot of excellent comebacks it seems. I thank blame Garrus.

That wasn't Ashley's fault, it was yours. She's there to act as a player doorstop, so you don't get a Critical Mission Failure over and over and over again. Similar to how your squadmates have to kill Kaidan or Ash in ME3 if you haven't shown an ounce of common sense in the whole game.

Thanks. I actually like that Ashley can be aggressive. Too many of the companions are too perfect and inoffensive. Gets a little boring.

I tried to give her a chance on my male Shepard, but I just couldn't deal with her abrasive personality. She comes across as some undereducated klutz who is trying to recite poetry to seem deep and sophisticated. Maybe I should have kept her alive, she could have bored the reapers to death...which would have still been a better ending.
The romance options in ME2 seemed so much more interesting, at least for male Shepard, which makes it especially sad that you can't truly pursue them in ME3.

I'll say it, loved Ashley in me3. I saw character growth, even though she got her head bashed in.

Or, alternatively, if you weren't a complete douchebag, Tali and Ash greet each other warmly, like a pair of sisters.

Wheres the fun in that?

I for one, willing to pay top dollar to see hot tali on ashley action....

Oh great, I'm going to need to play through that part again with my MShep. I took Garrus and had to laugh at Shep and Tali's flirting while on this mission, and then Garrus comment basically saying "Get a room." It was too adorable.

I'm not sure where my Shep stands with Ashley 'cause he used the "let's consider this a fresh start option" in the hospital which I assume is a breakup? I have to say, that as a female, even I found Tali more to my liking :)
