if you romanced ashley and didn't cheat on her in me2 her trust largely seems to come back on mars since there's like a romance option dialogue to reassure her.

if you didn't romance her she seems to have more of a problem

subtle difference I thought

She's her own person, she doesn't make compromises, or excuses for how she acts.

She owns up to her mistakes, and most of all, is just human. I'm hard pressed to find one other character who's like that in mass effect...oh wait, shepard.

Sometimes I think you guys just skip trough the game like nothing

*Ashley has to deal with being part of a family in which one of the family members is know as the "only human to ever surrender to an alien" If it was your famiy, wouldn't you hold some sort of grudge to aliens.
* Sometimes Ashley does have a point, If you were actually in the Mass Effect Galaxy, and you were a human serving an alliance, would you trust aliens around classified human technology -_-
*Tali is just as close minded, Doesn't anyone remember how Close-minded she was to geth in Me2. She was about to shoot Legion for sending information to the geth, yet she was the one who send salvaged part of geths and sent them to the flottila. It annoyed me so much.
*I see Tali get jelous in this video too, look how she engages Liara.

Sure Ashley is not perfect but neither is Tali, And Tali is just as bitter, maybe it doesn't show but its there.

Or, alternatively, if you weren't a complete douchebag, Tali and Ash greet each other warmly, like a pair of sisters.

Wheres the fun in that?

I for one, willing to pay top dollar to see hot tali on ashley action....

Indeed...

Thanks. I actually like that Ashley can be aggressive. Too many of the companions are too perfect and inoffensive. Gets a little boring.

ashley is really the only squadmate that questions or even challenges what shepard is doing.

liara/garrus/tali, they all just nod their head and follow wherever shep. goes.

I feel like I don't know Ashley at all because she always goes boom in my files, but even though I'm not her biggest fan, I didn't not like her because of the lack of trust. I can understand that from both her and Kaidan, I mean Shepard's dead, then suddenly alive, then with Cerberus, ect. I wouldn't be upset about that. I just really didn't like her xenophobic dialogue in the first game. From what I've heard she's matured since then in 3 though, so that's good. :P

On Mars, I wanted to smack Ash on the back of the head to knock some sense into her. I was plesantly suprised when Dr. Eve did it for me. I thought this scene was hilarious, 'specially since Ash REALLY did have a chance to keep our relationship going in ME2. She just refused to get on the ship, her loss.

At least BioWare's screw up didn't deter everybody.

If you romanced Ashley and stayed loyal to her, she'll trust you the entire way, but just worries about you. In the sense that Cerberus might've done something bad to you that might bite them in the *** later on. Her second dialogue section on Mars is where she pretty much got over the Cerberus thing completely and ended it with a nice smile.

At the Udina Coup, the whole stand off lasted like 3 seconds before she turned her gun on Udina and shot him for me.

As someone has simply and beautifully worded in another topic, Ash's really just a painfully realistic character in a work of fiction. Does not sit well with quite a lot of people, it seems.

Yup. She has more in common with my Shepard than all the other squad mates. Exactly why I chose her for my main Shep LI.

God forbid someone have a different opinion and challenge Shepard on decisions. It's almost like Ashley is a real person or something.

I mean, I like realistic characters and all but Ash rubbed me the wrong way in ME2 and half of ME3. The only words the came out her mouth were "I don't trust you." She said it over and over and over again. It's a pretty big slap in the face considering I saved her butt on Eden Prime and Virmire.

People the whole mistrust thing only happens with the first hour of the game, and if you treat her well then it happens for like 10 seconds at the Udina coup, before she gives Udina a new blowhole. Stop exaggerating.

Love how Ash fans generalize anyone who doesn't like Ashley as someone who just can't handle a "painful realistic" people like Ashley.

Dude, people hate her because she is a total ****.Image IPB

So did I.  I re-loaded and waited to see if someone else would take the shot, and she did.

I think my "canon" solution will be to take the shot myself and let her stew over whether she would have done the right thing or not.

I always just assumed that Cerberus was busy poisoning the pot to make sure that Shepard would have a really tough time jumping ship on them when they finally got you up and running again. Just because you really were pretty much a lifeless lump of meat for pretty much all of those two years doesn't mean that anyone else really knows that. It's mentioned several times that there have been rumors that you've been active and working with Cerberus running well ahead of you in ME2. In fact, no one seems really surprised to see you running around alive when you encounter them, not Anderson, not the VS, not really anyone. even Hackett is sending you emails like it's perfectly natural that you're alive and active.

So, is it a stretch to assume that Cerberus has been spreading rumors about you for a while to make it seem like you've been in bed with them longer than you really have to prime people you used to know for a negative reaction when you do run into them? Because otherwise, most of our Shepards would have flipped Cerberus the finger or been seriously tempted to do it. As it was, we had the mystery and a lot of hostile faces keeping us where we were at.

And if that's so, the VS has a perceived history that Shep is still working against. It's not until the Cerberus base that the VS really gets to see and find out the full extent of the truth about what really happened to Shep, but by then, the two of them have already settled their differences.

Why would I want a soldier on my ship that questions my every order, even though I'm her superior officer, and openly states her distrust for all my other loyal squadmates just because they're alien?

Why would I want a love interest that abandons me when I need her most and acts indignant when I'm most hurt and vulnerable?

Realistic? Possibly. Likeable? I found MORINTH to be more agreeable.

I don't regret jumping in bed with Tali for a moment. Their little chit-chat on the Geth dreadnaught and her salty bitterness made it all worthwhile.

Not really.
