What does it mean when a topic gets completely deleted? does it mean that everything in it was legit and EA/bioware doesn't want it to get out?
pretty much
i think its more ea and not bioware honestly
What's the difference anyways? They're pretty much the same company, I don't get why people still think BioWare is "innocent" in all this. After all they did agree to get acquired by EA, they could've chosen to say no but they said yes. Besides with everything they've done lately, its pretty clear that BioWare and EA are the same.
I don't know, the guys at Bioware probably got offered a contract where you can either do EA's bidding or walk, just like how it went down with Zynga:
Ex-OMGPOP employee forced to either give up self-made game or resign.

EA would make GTA without Rockstar: That's the implication, anyway
Just what is up with Electronic Arts? EA has gone all-out and dropped pretensions of having learned the lessons that CEO John Riccitiello claimed to have learned. As EA gears up for the hostile takeover of Take-Two, Riccitiello has further driven fears into gamers that his company intends to eat the industry -- by implying that EA would continue Grand Theft Auto without Rockstar, if need be.Riccitiello has "no fear that the value EA placed on Take-Two could be damaged if the trio of Rockstar creators decided not to pursue further Grand Theft Auto titles after the latest release.""There is no doubt that EA is several times larger than Take-Two - everyday somebody walks in and somebody walks out. If the wrong guy walks out, we have an issue to deal with. But we don't stop making games."Longtime readers will know that I have nothing against the activities of so-called "evil" corporations, but even I'm disturbed by EA's recent actions, especially since they seem to go against everything that Riccitiello has been saying for the past year. It appears that, while on the cusp of regaining some respect in this industry, EA has decided to shed the sheep's clothing and go on a rampage."The big headline here is that our primary interest is in Rockstar and the intellectual properties around Rockstar", stated Riccitiello to the BBC, confirming Take-Two's own theory that EA wants Grand Theft Auto, and the profits associated with the upcoming GTA IV. Just ... damn. It's like they're reveling in how ruthless they are over at EA.

I can't say I would know what I would do if I were to placed in that situation. It's either do your job or get fired for sticking to your beliefs. Either way like I said before, BioWare's investors chose to sell themselves to EA, in my opinion they should've fought but I guess that doesn't matter because the best decision to investors is the one that makes money. That's one thing I hate about businesses, in the end its all about money.

EA has a long and sorded history of buying out well-thought-of companies, driving them into the ground, then disbanding them.TheDasterdly wrote...
I'm not sure I understand what that link is implying. EA buys a company, they loose money, and the game that company made are ruined? Because of rushed development time, etc??

mass firings after ME3 and TOR "failed"? Uuh TOR has a ton of subscribers and is decently successful as MMO's go. And ME3 had a bigger launch than ME2.
EA is making tons of money off Bioware right now. Sure they are a giant evil conglomerate but jesus BSN lighten up a little.

He couldn't believe some of the stupid decisions that were being made to rush the game out. The game was intended to be very different to what was actually released.

That didn't work though, thankfully. TakeTwo's investors did not sell out fortunately, hopefully things remain the same and those investors don't get any stupid ideas.

This thread hasn't been deleted yet... and this "viral marketing" guy that worked from home isn't saying anything credible enough to get anyone at EA scared.
You've all been trolled hard - he may have marketed virally for EA but he's like the mailroom clerk at Goldman Sachs, not enough power to know anything
