What I find so hilarious about that phrase is that the devil actually doesn't exist.
Then I guess this means you fell for it

I do believe the whole EA outsourcing thing. Living in California and only a stones throw away from their base in Redwood City, it's always an economic s***storm when they lay people off and the whole "dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria" happens. Not sure if I believe the rest of this though.
Mass Hysteria... Sounds like a good name for a sequel. Lemme go tell my supervi-... uh, nothing.

You can't simultaneously run a company into the red and generate massive profits - you can damage the reputation of your product while simultaneously scoring record profits but that's a completely different issue.
The entertainment industry can never be "too big to fail." The banks, and to a lesser degree the american car companies, were because they had a gigantic amount of Americans with their net worth tied into them.
The entertainment industry doesnt have that. If EA or Activision or 20th Century Fox go under it won't affect anyone but their employees - the consumers that use their product won't take a hit so its no big deal. So I think you can breathe easy for now
As for voting with your dollar - by all means don't buy these products: but if ME3 is an example of a "mediocre product" I'd give my left foot get my hands on a quality one.
what i meant into the red was in the way your run an engine into the red. Not accounting red.
companies in this day in age have been doing this, taking whatever business practice they are doing and run it overtime, of course in doing this quality falls quickly to the ever faster speed of the "engine". In doing so there is a break down of overall processes with the company, once the profit is generated, alot of these CEOS and Executives jump ship with their benefits packages, and let the company literally burn it self out for all they care.

...and if BioWare named a DLC pack "mass hysteria" that would be the ultimate compliment to us here at the BSN.

A little background in the gaming industry
Publishers exist to make money. That's it. Their only investment in the product is how much a return it can yield. Beyond that, if it was flying waffle porn, they wouldn't care.

And apparently they will run their company into the ground while doing so

How all of this "informations" could have really impacted ME3? (ok, the ending anyway for me)...

I remember when EA tried to take over TakeTwo in a hostile takeover, that would have been a horrible day for gaming, imagine if they got their horrible, grubby hands on the likes of L.A Noire, GTA, Red Redemption, 2K Sports titles basically ending any competition in that genre, we'd have annual releases of games that need 3-4 year dev time, not counting the sport sims, if it wasn't for the FIFA franchise, I wouldn't really care what happens to a company with the ethics and morals of EA, the only game they seem to be improving is FIFA.
Are they improving FIFA? It seems to me that every year they just fix stuff that was broken the year before while breaking something else in the process which will be fixed next year. Pretty much the same model they have with the NHL games. Great games crippled by greed. I gave up on EA Sports completely this year.

I've been wondering for some time, since someone sad there might be "plants" on the forums, how many might have been involved in the rateake movement, just for making the the movement it self look bad.
Edit: I mean, the thing should not be hard, just act like someone out of his mind, and slap a banner on.

This also explains the "DICE Defense Force" on the BF3 forums. The community gave them a name and made sig images because they were so goddamn transparent.
EA Games...challenge everything.

So in terms of a "firm" buyout, expect an independent developer that does its own in house publishing or small branch of publishing akin to something Bethesda works under or EPIC.

We can't know for certain, but some things, and some people posting history looked pretty funny. Then again, there are people who would defend EA/BioWare no matter what they were up to.

Well, THQ are in deep financial trouble so I wouldn't be surprised.

It's all in the small print in their buyouts, or buy into these companies, there are always clauses for limiting budgets on projects, like a poor economy and such, but when the contacts are signed they are told, don't worry we would never cut your budgets or make you rush a release date, we just want you to do what you do best. In the end though the company with the best lawyers and the CEO's with the best street smarts wins.
Even is only part of it is true, this is not good.
