Well since i did 3 runs but i have to say my main is with Miranda Lawson..sadly didnt have many entrances in ME3 like ME2 had.
My 2nd one was with Liara always good to have her and then Ashley kind of lame as its not really interesting even by the fact that i choose her as LI in ME1.
And well Liara is kind of good as LI and as Friend.

Liara had the best written in ME3, hands down. She was the only one who didn't seem like a fling to me, it actually seemed like legitimate love.

Ashley. Can't beat her.
One of my most memorable moments from all the Mass Effect games is that romance scene in ME3, where Sheperd takes hold of Ashley's chin and tries to make her look at him and she resists with her eyes.

As i said as a LI or a friend liara is probably the only person that supports shepard no matter what or who is he helping.Plus being another race also adds interest to the relation.

I've always seen Liara as one of the most boring characters in the Mass Effect universe. What on earth do people see in her?

This thread would be more appropriate for the Romance board.
That said... Tali. I liked the character from the beginning, but she was also the only male romance that would have known Shepard long enough for anything meaningful to have built up. In ME3, it seemed to be getting very serious. Well-written all around. As evidenced by the banner in my sig, I'm still holding out for a better conclusion for them... at the absolute least, Bioware's promised "clarification" had better do something to alleviate the dire straits Team Dextro would appear to have been abandoned in...
The writing of the series seemed to try to push Shepard in Liara's direction throughout (plot armor, more content than anyone else, etc.) but I never saw the appeal. Maybe it was just a side-effect of going to Feros first, but to me it seemed like she wanted to jump Shepard the second she got on board.
Really, woman?
Damn...

Tali. Though, she didn't catch my attention until AFTER I fell from space and exploded into a million pieces...lost the heart of Ashley because she thought I was a Cerberus-cyborg-monster...and Talis father was killed by the Geth intruders.
Her accent, nervous-hands, and "body language" drove me nuts. Good nuts.
Helping Tali get her homeworld back was a huge WIN.

Isn't this kind of a stupid question? No matter what anyone says, it's not like you'll change your mind or agree with any opinion given. You're still going to think she's boring no matter what. People who like her just see an engaging, likable character. It's all opinion.
On a related note, Liara is my pick as well. I liked the fascination-turned-love in ME1, and her scenes in LotSB and ME3 are pretty great as well.

Ashley Williams. She is one of the most in depth characters in the entire game, and the relationship with Shep feels real...they have problems and issues, different opinions, are separated for years, but they sort it out in the end cause they love each other. The Shepley romance is canon in my mind, they go perfect together.

Morinth. She deserved better than a cameo as a Banshee.

I really liked Kaidans romance arc for female Shepard. Bits in ME3 were especially heartwarming, I just wish there was more of it.
For maleShep... err, gonna go with Liara.

I haven't finished Ashley, Tali, or Garrus' yet, but I have a feeling the last one is going to easily top them all.
None of the other options are worth mentioning.

Ashley's. Suffers from a noticeable lack of content in the middle of ME3, but more than makes up for it with the intense drama of Mars, the Cerberus coup, the Citadel conversations and her romance scene (best dialogue of any character in the whole series).

Anyway, it's Tali for me as well. Although if I ever do another playthrough (holding off for now due to endings), I'm also eager to see Garrus's.
