That said... Tali. I liked the character from the beginning, but she was also the only male romance that would have known Shepard long enough for anything meaningful to have built up. In ME3, it seemed to be getting very serious. Well-written all around. As evidenced by the banner in my sig, I'm still holding out for a better conclusion for them... at the absolute least, Bioware's promised "clarification" had better do something to alleviate the dire straits Team Dextro would appear to have been abandoned in...

The writing of the series seemed to try to push Shepard in Liara's direction throughout (plot armor, more content than anyone else, etc.) but I never saw the appeal. Maybe it was just a side-effect of going to Feros first, but to me it seemed like she wanted to jump Shepard the second she got on board.

Really, woman?  Damn...

Liaramancers are the sensitive sort (they'd have to be to find all of that fawning attractive). How many have you ever seen actually admit that some people can perceive their precious digital sweetheart as boring?

At any rate, beyond the obvious pixelated lesbian sex reason, I have no idea why people find her appealing. I've read some reasons but, to give an example, what they call "devotion" I call "creepy stalkerness", so.. *shrugs*. Whatever.

Ashley for MaleShep and Kaidan for FemShep.

These two romances, to me, just feel so natural. Not because Ash and Kaidan are human, but because of how well their personalities mesh.

Ash is this confident, saucy, and direct woman (who still retains a sensitive side) whom only Shepard can handle. They bring each other up during the bad times and make the good times seem even better.

Kaidan, on the other hand...I just think it's cute how he was crushing on Shepard before ME1 really even began. Maybe I just see a lot of my own personality in him. I'd be the exact same way around such a strong and beautiful woman like Shepard.

Liara. She and Shepard simply make Mass Effect. I like the other romances as alternatives, but I can never stray far from the Shepard and Liara story.

I know it's inevitable. Always will be. It's just annoying how some mancers are so dedicated that if you romance anyone other then their favorite, they'll tear you apart like dogs.

Thane will always have my heart. It's hard to pick anyone else besides him. Made a single Shep in ME1 just to have him as her only love. Didn't really work out how I wanted in ME3.

Thane Krios in ME2, not Mr Kepr Al Syndrome in ME3...

I loved his charcter in ME2.
Sigh...his romance was ruined in ME3.

After going from "No I'm longer defined by my illness" and "I refuse to fade away in a hospital to machinery I have no use for" he was completely 180'd in ME3. And to top it off the conversations in ME3 were...lacking to say the least.
