Second, my take on the LI's is not based on how they were written, but rather on how much i found them attractive (both as personalities and looks), heck Jack was very well done in ME2, but i just don't find that kind of woman attractive.
Third, i refuse to play ME3 yet, so i have only vague idea of how the romances progress there. OK, here they come:
1. Gianna Parasini and Shiala struggle for the first place. After those friendly kisses in ME2 i kinda hoped i could expand or at leas consummate our affections in ME3 (like we did with Shaira in ME1). Both were kind of arrogant, posh-y, capable, tough, and both had seamed to have chemistry with Shepard. I do miss them.
2. Liara...no Tali! No Liara....nononono Tali....make that Tali, but only a bit more then Liara. I guess most of us have a secret weakness for that "grease monkey almost like a baby sister and i guess she is shy in a non intrusive manner" quarian. We just feel this need to protect her from the world. Isn't that an inborn male instinct?
3. Liara....back in ME1 i had to play the game 3 times before i figured out a way not to romance her! She is all over the place. And if i quote a long lost friend from the old BioWare forums, not romancing her felt like hitting a lost and hungry puppy on the nose.....
4. Miranda, yes back with the famme fatales. I guess i am easy sucker for the snobs have personality if you have patience enough to dig it out. And brunettes are just so easy to fall for...
5. Shaira....i know i know, what chance does an Alliance soldier have with the most wanted courtisan/escort in the galaxy? But just think of the potential of such a romance. And she is an Asari. All the insight and revelations.....
6. Kelly....she's so sweet. And she has the personality. If only she had a better hair cut. And i am not all that much into bi girls. I guess i feel threatened by the competition....
7. Ash and Dianna.....one is too conservative, the other hardly demonstrates any personality and should have a less "swollen" 3D model. I guess i'd still pick Ash if i had to, but we would have issues...
8. Jack.....i feel so bad for not liking her. But hey, at least she invokes emotion which is not the case with Diana. But i just don't like jerks, even when i am being one. I can understand her pain, but can't condone her actions....
That about sums it up. Please tell if i missed someone
